Bottle at share courtesy of steve. pale golden pour with a small airy white head. Aroma is grapes and tart notes. Tartnessd rives the taste, along with a solid consistent grape flavor and a hint of barrel.

Having had 3 in the angels series, I jumped at the opportunity to try the final two I had missed all those years ago living in NC. Clear bubbly gold body with a tight white bubble cap. Plenty of white wine, full grape is delicate yet decadent, zesty citrus and oak tannins accent. Nuance was never the hallmark of this series, but this nose is the most by far. Candied white and red grape lead with sour black currant, vinous and oak from the barrel, with some lemon and grapefruit zest on the back end with floral lighthearted funk. Feel is tart foremost, with textures form the wine barrel to add some character, funk not felt at all, stays pretty wet and bright, sneaky acidic.

A creamy, off-white head maintains a thin blanket over a clear, dark gold-to-amber beer. (SRM 6-8)
Fruity funk has background esters. Oak and grapes present well. Acidity seems to be similar to that of vinegar. The funkiness is very similar to a basket of fermenting apples.
Tartness dominates the first sip and unapologetically claims, "might makes right". The flavors follow the lead from the nose, with lots of grape and oak overwhelming the orchard fruit and vinegar. All these flavors are sharp, with a funky finish that mixes sweetness and tartness for a long duration.
Alcohol is as expected, as is the high, fine carbonation. The light body and scratchy, hard metallic texture seem appropriate. Sweetness appears to have been rung out, leaving a very dry, mouth-puckering sensation.
While quite tasty, this beer is difficult to drink. I did so in a long session and kept it cool in a double-walled insulated pint glass. White Angel would make for a good discussion with friends.

From a 500 ml. Bottle into a PAA Dino glass, this beer pours out golden; like apple juice and forms almost two fingers worth of bone white crown that disappears within minutes.
The nose carries a huge vinegar presence. Some white grape must and garden funk. Smells like pollen in the air.
The taste brings juicy grape quickly turning dry into that mustiness and garden like funk. Some of that vinegar comes back in as well.
Super dry, floral feeling. Tart, not enamel peeling sour; balanced.
Overall, it’s a nice beer and one that I would imagine a wine drinker loving.

Bottled dated 8/2017. Pours straw yellow with no head, carbonation dissipates quickly. Smells of lemon, moderate funk, white wine. Taste is moderate sour, lemon, finishes with green grapes, white wine notes lingering, mingling with citrus. Mouth feel has some carbonation, fizzes with a good swish, thicker winey weight follows. Digging this, would love a bit more carb though.
