Notes / Commercial Description:
For us, this Old World-inspired beer is mile zero - the point at which we faithfully spin the needle on the compass and follow at will. From the warmer climates of equatorial lands, this Gose takes its tropic inspiration. Brewed with tart passion fruit and flavor-brightening sea salt, Tropicmost Gose is a roadmap of the Southern Americas. Cheer to moving until direction is found.

Ale brewed with passionfruit. Poured from a bottle into a Wicked Weed tulip. Pale straw color with moderate haze. Little if any bloom. Kind of flat with very little carbonation. Faint nose with tart notes of apples, lemons, and peaches.

Light bodied with a firm, yet flat feel. No effervescence at all. Nice mealy sweetness up front, then a sharp kick of lemon tartness and a bit of saltiness. No bitterness or other hop notes. I'm not really getting the passionfruit here. It just tastes like a halfway-decent gose.

Tastes okay, but not nearly enough carbonation to be considered a good example of the style. If it was better-carbonated, I think my ratings would be higher.

4oz pour; hazy straw color w no noticeable carbonization. Very modest hint of passion fruit at the nose. Slightly sour "like a gose" and easy on the palate. Medium body.

Slightly hazy straw yellow body; good head production, poor head retention.

Musty and slightly tangy aroma.

Nicely tart; not overdone, and not really venturing into sour territory. Salty and smooth; refreshing. Very easy to drink. Long finish. I could crush this all day long.

Hazy yellow color with a bit of off-white head. Aroma is tart, lactic, fruity and salty. Taste starts with a slight lactic acidity, some sweet fruits in the background and finishes salty and slightly bitter. Body is quite heavy for the style, carbonation is medium. Really nice gose overall. It has all the classic flavors plus the extra tropical fruits.

Poured from the tap into a 20 OZ mug at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a cloudy yellow color with a small off-white head. The aroma has a lot of tart fruit. The taste starts follows the nose but it is also pretty salty.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy yellow body. Wheat is strong. Just a hint of lemon or lime acidity. Taste has a lot of wheat and some coriander spice. Very light tartness. Touch of mineral flavor in the back. I get very little passionfruit, if any. Light body and refreshing. Where's the fruit? Otherwise not bad.

As a Gose fan I certainly can be overly exuberant when I find one this good but it's that good. It drinks like a juice with huge grapefruit pith, but has a nice level of sour and tang. Obvious passion fruit helps to inject a well balanced sweetness and the saltiness is on the low end.
