Clear sparkling salmon-amber with an airy-bubbly off-white foam that collapses to a fuzzy sparse film.
Smell is seedy and slightly oaky tart red fruits with the faintest hint of straw-forward barnyard funk.
Taste is cleanly tart, lightly funky hay with raspberry, red grape and red currants that are a little wild and herbaceous.
The crisp, tingly light body is almost watery with a semi-dry finish.
I actually think this may have suffered by aging it.

Appearance: Pours the color of pink grapefruit juice with a frothy head that fades with alacrity; spotty lacing
Smell: Fruity and oaky, with a currant tone and a hint of leathery Brett
Taste: Light and fruity, up front, with a slightly tart berry/currant character; a hint of oak and funk, through the middle; fruity, but not complex, in the finish; just a touch of sourness in the finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: I am underwhelmed by this one; not particularly complex, the barrel doesn't add much and the fruit lacks character; pleasant to drink but at the lower end of this brewery's output

From the side of the label: "Date Bottled: 9.23.16" "Batch # 1,128"
Appearance: The body is a beautiful combination of orange and pink. It has a slightly hazy character and an opalescence about it. The head is short and pink with a creamy texture. No real retention other than a ring and it leaves a few spots of lacing. It looks great in a glass.
Aroma: Souring fruit and a bit of a funky cured ham aroma.
Taste: It has a sour flavor up front which is followed by just a touch of a cinnamon character reminiscent of snickerdoodles. That cinnamon flavor isn't strong and just when I think I am imagining it the flavor will pop up again a few sips later. It adds to the complexity. In the finish there is a light bit of a red wine character which is nice. The red currant flavor advertised is sorely missed in this beer but otherwise it tastes fantastic.
Mouthfeel: A nice light bodied beer with a touch of tartness and a dry finish. Easy to sip and enjoy.
Overall: Despite not having any red currant flavor I found the beer to be very good. If you enjoy a more delicate sour beer with lighter blossoming flavors then you will enjoy this. It is good enough to enjoy every once and a while but not exceptional enough to buy multiple bottles.
