C'mon Wicked Weed! I've been to your Brewpub in Asheville, it was amazing! Great atmosphere, great selection, great tasting beers .... This is an okay but not great Hazy IPA ... Disappointed given the great reputation of this Brewer.

12 ounce can in a standard pint glass. Six weeks since canned.

Pours a murky pale yellow orange color. The cap is a bright white fluffy cloud that starts out at 2F, it holds up and leaves plenty of sticky lacing.

Lots of berry notes in the aroma; blue, straw, and raspberry. Citrus aroma leans orange.

The berry juices fill the flavor profile. The citrus is slightly candied in a good way.

Medium bodied with a touch juicy. Some hop bitterness with berry tarts.

Listed as a hazy IPA on the can, rather than a neipa. I agree.

Poured a slightly cloudy orange-gold body with good head and lace down the glass. Aroma has notes of citric along with some mild juiciness. Smooth, clean, mildly sweet tropical fruits with a minor bitterness throughout beer and crisp, clean finish. Not great but not bad, either, so it's worth trying if you're curious.

Packaged 12/4/20, drank 1/9. Can purchased in a six pack. Pours a hazy, straw-colored body with a puffy head that retains its lacing long into the session. Tropical fruits dominate but none really stands out, so the flavor is somewhat muddied. Value priced, but nothing to seek out.

Coastal Love – Hazy IPA – Wicked Weed Brewing Company, Asheville, NC
Wicked Weed has deservingly made its way back into my fridge. I don’t know what it is about this can, but it does not scream “great beer inside”. The Coastal Love is 6.3% alcohol with no International Bitterness Units. This is collaboration with Green Man and Broomtail brewing. This beer is not overly light despite being a New England style. Citrusy and Hoppy. I like the flavor of this one better than the Fantastic Haze, but the Fantastic Haze has more alcohol. I will give the Coastal Love an 8.0 out of 10.0, and Beer Advocate gives this one a 7.9. Supposedly this beer is retired, but I am not too sure about that.

Minor dankness; tropical hop nose.

Hoppy as expected; very lively with plenty of sting. Moderately dank finish. A touch sweet up front, shifting to an APA-like graininess mid-sip.

Hop tones include melon, tangerine, and ruby red grapefruit by the finish. Tastes and feels more West Coast than New England.

16 oz can at the 2019 Suwannee Roots Reunion.
Pours with a hazy dark golden body topped with a tall, frothy, durable white head.
The aroma is more dank and grassy than fruity. The flavor largely follows but is less bready and more dank. .
Medium+, soft carbonation with a medium body.

Appearance: Pours slightly hazy with a golden honey hue; the head rises to three fingers and leaves splashy lacing; excellent retention

Smell: Somewhat dank and resinous with a piney element that subsumes the tropical aroma

Taste: Indistinct tropical flavors forward, with an herbaceous aspect; dank and piney tones build, through the middle, with moderate bitterness developing after the swallow; none of the tropical tones linger into the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: Wicked Weed bills this as a New England IPA but this beer has taken a road trip out west

F - Medium body and carbonation.
O - Kind of a mix between an east coast IPA and a west coast IPA.
