Good experience. Good service. Good food. The beers? Well...
I wished I would have visited this place in the early days when sours were just becoming popular. I found the genre overworked now - about 90% of sours leave me with one word - Same. The same goes for the two flights I had here. All were good but none were fantastic and above any brewed by others.
I think the popularity of Asheville along with Covid has turned Wicked Weed into a tourist trap. It's just a place "you must go" if your in Asheville just because everyone else says so.
I would advise anyone visiting Asheville for the first time to keep Wicked Weed on your B-list. With 35+ breweries in the area one is likely to find several of them a better place to visit and probably have better beers.

Visited this brewery in the fall of 2021. Was on our list of breweries to go to and it did not disappoint. In my opinion the best brewery in Asheville. Their beers are all above average. Service was excellent and very knowledgeable on their beer. I particularly liked there flight selection. Their food was awesome. Pet friendly, A must visit establishment.

Nice place, well organized, and busy. Did not order food, but the beer was good as was the selection. Lots of space and common tables. There's an attached bottle shop with lots of cold beer to go.

Our final stop before leaving Asheville. Went for a late night snack and a few beers.
This is a big spot. Lots of room even with the socially distanced tables. If it was a bit warmer we would have sat outside. Maybe next time.
Our server was spot on and friendly. Was quick with refills and to bring our check when we were ready to leave.
We just did a couple of appetizers and fries, but I was happy with the quality.
We both liked our beers. Served in correct glassware at correct temps.
This was a fine stop but there are other Asheville spots I will hit first.

Stopped by for lunch on a Friday. Had to wait in line for about ten minutes. The food and beer menus are extensive, with the beer menu dominated by IPA's and sours. Wait staff was on point. Tried the Veggie burger, my first one ever and 2 beers. The Freak of Nature IPA and the Smoked Amber Lager, both very good. Worth a visit while in downtown Asheville.

Pretty diverse menu but primarily sours. Didn’t get food but people next to us did and it looked amazing (they said it was). Must hit spot when in Asheville!

We visited Wicked Weed on 7/24/19 and 7/25/19. The place had a nice crowd on both visits. I was very impressed with the large selection of beers as well as the food. The waitress was very helpful as well. I know they are owned by InBev, but if you find yourself in Asheville, it’s worth a stop.

Loved this sour! Refreshing why just enough taste of passion fruit yet sour enough to make it an easy drink.

vibe - lots of options, sit down restaurant, hang out bar downstairs along with outdoor games and chillax
quality - great beer for the most part
service - if you have a table the service is great otherwise there is a line for beer which is fine
selection - tons of options for anything you want including mixed drinks or wine if you dont want any beer
food - fried fish was great and so was okra

Nice vibe at Wicked Weed Brewing. Good menu, nice variety . We had an attentive and knowledgable waitress. I was disappointed that they did not have many sours on their beer list. They had so many more at the Funkatorium. There is a nice size outdoor eating area.

i have been a long time fan, and it was absolutely awesome to get a chance to visit! i first checked out the funkatorium, which i guess doesnt actually brew beer, but it was such a cool little spot and only a few blocks from the original spot here. barrels stacked to the deck in there, a mellow bar and a very cool outside space over there, with barrels stacked to the deck in the back and an absolutely absurd list of beers on tap and in bottles, a rad little bottle shop, and good energy. this main space is a bit more conventional, feels more like a restaurant when you walk in, bustling and busy, a happening patio area out front and apparently a downstairs space too, but i didnt make it there. high ceilings, neat art, a cool vibe for how big it is, and a real long bar thats about packed probably all the time. the food menu was awesome, i had a quail, some beef tartare, and a gazpacho soup, all were excellent, and all seemed almost in service of the beer, which i appreciate. the attention to detail paid to the beer is there in the food too, our meal was excellent. the beer speaks for itself obviously, but they had a nice mix of the sours and the cleans, i loved the hoppy stuff i tried, but for me wicked weed is all about the sours, and they had a great selection of them. between both places my favorite was the fraise morte, but i also really liked the oaxacan, the appalachia ipa, and the blueberry wild called myrtille. just fantastic and unique beers across the board. if you still have any trepidation about these guys after their buy out, go here for a beer and a bite and you wont anymore. seriously world class, if i was ab i would buy these guys too...
