Very Good
Notes: The Big Burly Blonde is a very lightly-hopped and lightly-colored blonde ale with hints of of floral and citrus hop flavors. This is a very refreshing, easy-to-drink beer but be careful, at 7.5%, this isn't a 'lawnmower beer.'

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice hazy golden orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, with a really nice peachy/fruity note. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a really nice peachy/fruity note, nice sweetness. Medium Body, ABV hidden very well. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. A very nice take on the style. Hard to pinpoint this one. Glad I got a chance to try this. Thanks Matt!

Poured from a 500ml swing-top growler that was filled at the brewery, into a US tumbler glass.

A: The beer is a deep murky gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, light caramelized malts and a good amount of hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then a strong citrus and caramel sweetness quickly follows. The hops presence is good for the style but not over-powering and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to pound down for a long time.

Tap at Trinity.

Pours a light creamy head that barely gets any room no-thanks to a pint pour almost to the brim, hazy murky banana yellow orange color.

Nose light grainy dough malts, a fruity aroma which could be from hops or possibly yeast, hard to get much aroma now as it's ice cold. As it starts to warm i get light juicy citrus and ester like fruit. A bit of a fresh airy malt, blond malt, some fruity like hops.

Taste brings some sweeter malts, light grainy and even some wheat-like malt flavors. Then hops kick in, light fruity grassy hop character with some bitterness, and turns a touch spicy and earthy. Then a blond malt sweetness hints at what my perception thinks is booze but it's not.. or is it? A mild ester profile brings more fruity flavors. As it finishes it dries a bit and leaves some light spicy earthy hops and very mild bitterness, a light toasty like malt character maybe toasted wheat, but more light citrus and fruity flavours lingering. Hops build a bit and bring a med bitterness, and turn slightly herbal vegetal.

Mouth is med bod, little fluffy carb, it has a sharpness about it too.

Overall not bad, nice blond malt characters, interesting mostly mild hop character, nice fruitiness coming from the hops I think, possibly faint esters from the yeast. Quite drinkable for as big as it seems to be.

This is a new local brewery, and WOW do they know how to make beer. They offer a few styles now, but I'm stuck on the Burley Blonde. With a high ABV%, the brewery owner affectionately calls it the "panty dropper". This does not taste like it had high alcohol, and will sneak up on you. The mouth feel and aroma are amazing. I've had several friends try it, and we've all agreed that it's one of the tastiest beers we've had in a while.

Never had a blonde with so much power like this one. Doesn't feel like a 7%+ ABV blonde...
