On tap at Bog Iron Brewing in Norton, MA.

This one pours a light brown-ish color, with a small head, foamy and white, and a good amount of lacing.

This one smells like light pecan nuttiness, roasted malt, and cocoa powder.

This one is maybe a tiny bit watery, but it's also 3.5%, so who cares? The flavors here are nice, really nutty and chocolatey, with a light waft of roastiness across the palate. It's simple but quite satisfying.

This is very light bodied, hint of wateriness, with good level of carbonation for the style.

I don't really see this style enough- milds are life.

Poured from a 500ml swing-top growler that was filled at the brewery, into a US tumbler glass.

A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains maple, nuts, caramel, roasted malts and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out with a hearty and nutty but not too heavy roasted malt character that is quickly followed by some sweet flavors of caramel, maple and honey. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, very mild kick, good representation of style, this is a nice session beer to pound down for a long time.

Somehow never reviewed this one. Drank lots of it at the campout jamborees, I think. A very misunderstood style that most people just don't get, but I love it, and this one hits right on the button.

Decent fizzy head, mostly clear tan brown.

Nose nice creamy toasty brown malts, little caramel and brown sugar, light but nice malty aroma, little earthy herbal grassy hop, staple mild.

Taste brings creamy brown malts, little toffee and nice caramel, toasty brown malts but light ave very dry. Little grassy herbal hop with very light bitterness. Tasty and very light and crushable. Finish is dry and crisp for an ale, little grassy hop and creamy caramel brown malts.

Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb.

Overall great example of the style, very drinkable and tasty, very enjoyable.
