Island Hoppin' Brewery

Excellent brewery. They just celebrated their one year anniversary, and demand for their beers is steadily growing. They started with a 10 bbl system, but recently upgraded to a 55 bbl system.

I highly recommend that you stop by to sample the
brews and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Been here before and enjoyed it, quality beer if a little off the beaten path. I had all intentions if getting a growler to go but even though patrons were there, nobody was around to pour. Waited 10 minutes then left. Maybe next time.

Tiny taproom located on Orcas Island. Plenty of outdoor seating though, providing the weather is nice. 8-10 brews on tap. No food, except for some light snacks. The beers seem to have picked up in quality over the last couple of years, and I enjoyed the ones I had. Not a "destination" brewery, but, if you have time after going up Mt. Constitution and catching your ferry, it's worth a stop.

 

This place has an excellent laid-back vibe with great service as well! I really liked the Old Madrona, their imperial red. I would almost claim it to be an double IPA, with IBUs somewhat greater than the 80 that is advertised. Their Kölsch was good, but a little too hoppy for what I prefer for that style.

Their best beer I had was the Camano Coffee Porter which had awesome chocolate, coffee and nutty flavors and was served on nitro. Didn't get food but it is definitely worth the visit if you're on Orcas.
