Has that mixture of fall colors. Red, orange, darker leaf falling yellow. Can't hold any head up though. Aroma did have some pumpkin notes and then an industrial alcohol disinfectant.

Somehow the alcohol stayed very pronounced. A small amount of pumpkin crept into the mouthfeel. Nothing about regular non adjunct beer really comes through, no hops, bitterness, malt. Spice and cinnamon used in the right proportion.

I dunno, its alright.

L- Clear vivid orange, very clean. Small white bubbly head. No visible carbonation.
S- Pumpkin and spices. Fades away fast.
T- Pumpkin, spices, clove and a distinct wheat flavor at the end.
F- Light.
O- Not bad, there is no complexity here, very straightforward and easy to drink. Meh.

Description on the neck of the bottle is spot on. You cannot miss the pumpkin, nutmeg, and cloves. Not overwhelming pumpkin thankfully. Well balanced between the flavors. Very nice on a cool and crisp autumn evening.

Its a good beer, but a decent pumpkin beer. If you ordered a pumpkin beer and this is what came out, you wouldn't send it back, but for Pumpkin beer fans, there are plenty of better options. Good not Great.

Nutmeg, pumpkin, allspice, and clove dominate the aroma.

Flavor is more wheat and muddled citrus upfront, finishing lightly sweet and nutty. Clove and nutmeg contrast the citrus strangely.

Poured at 50°F from a 12oz bottle (best by 29Feb16) into a pint glass. Consumed on 15Dec15.
LOOK: Pours with two fingers of off-white foam that dissipates into a half fingers worth after 2 minutes and 35 seconds. Orange in color. Rising bubbles are small in size and subtle in quantity. Lacing is thin and moderate.
SMELL: Strong aromas of pumpkin entangle with mild aromas of caramel, cinnamon, cloves, wheat, and nutmeg.
TASTE: The initial taste is of strong pumpkin and mild caramel flavors. Mild flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon along with subtle clove flavors immediately follow. Mild wheat flavors enter lastly as pumpkin flavors remain, but all other flavors grow stronger.
FEEL: Somewhere between full-bodied and medium-bodied. Carbonation is moderate. Goes down smooth. Finishes crisp.
NOTE: Talk about a surprise! I've never before had a good experience with a Blue Moon beer. They've been mediocre at best, but I thought this was pretty good! Everything was where it needed to be.

Amber in color with a fingernail of brilliant white. Aroma is moderately spiced with nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice. I taste moderately aggressive nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

best by Feb 8 (my birthday) 2016
poured into 6 ounce cup
L- the lowest point of surprisingly good beer, an uninspiring light brown, little head retention
S- caramel malts, pumpkin, and some spices
T- really smooth and nice caramel malts, with some hop bitterness. and then the pumpkin with all the spices cloves, nutmeg...
F- nice crisp taste, not overly carbonated
O- really really good beer even though from crafty blue moon, just gives a nice pumpkin taste, well balanced perfect for cool evening in fall, just really good for the style if not for Blue Moon will have higher overall ratings on this site(my opinion)

In all honesty, was craving a seasonal pumpkin beer for the fall, and this was the cheaper of the available selection.

A: 12-oz. bottle into a wheat beer glass. Pours a nice copper-orange color with about an inch of foam that dissipates quick.

S: Pumpkin spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, a little bit of that Blue Moon orange zest.

T: Malty, sweet, pumpkin pie filling, caramel, no trace of hops or bitterness...as expected.

M: Softer light-medium body, little carbonation. A typical sticky, sweet Blue Moon beer.

O: Like I said, was craving a seasonal beer, and this hit the spot. Not a go-to beer and wouldn't drink too many of these in one session. It's a fine beer for the season--not the best, not the worst.

Bottle from Albertsons. Kind of a dull pour, tiny head. Aroma is out of the bottle pumpkin pie spice, nothing imaginative or exciting. Actually kind of bland, with some generic pumpkin pie flavor. As expected....

I don't like pumpkin beers typically but it was pretty much the only option. Was kind of surprised that it was decent. Most pumpkin beers are over spiced and t he taste gets old quick. This one see sped pretty simple and I enjoyed a few of them. Not sure I'm going to run out and get some but for a pumpkin beer it was relatively good.

A: Clear medium-brown with a small white head that quickly dissipates. No lacing at all on my glass. A bit lighter than most of the pumpkin ales I drink, and seems to be lighter than previous years' incarnations of this beer.

S: Biscuity malt, fair amount of pumpkin spices. Much more spice aroma than I remember from this one.

T: Dominated by bread and biscuit malts, with pumpkin spice backing it up. Again, more spice notes than before. Some wheat is noticeable in the background, and a small bite of hop bitterness at the end.

M: Light-medium body. Feels more like a witbier than a pumpkin ale, but hey, it's Blue Moon. It's expected.

O: Coors has really improved this one in the last year or so. I remember Harvest Moon/Harvest Pumpkin Ale being basically an American amber ale in the past with no real pumpkin flavor, but this year's incarnation is a good introduction to the pumpkin ale style. There is an obvious wheat presence so you can tell it's from the Blue Moon lineup, which may make it easier for newbies to get into the style. Still, even for a seasoned drinker it's quite enjoyable on a cool autumn night. Cheers!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/11/2016. Pours slightly cloudy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, wheat, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, wheat, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of pumpkin/spice and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, lightly creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid pumpkin ale style. All around good balance, complexity, and solid robustness of pumpkin/spices and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

A very run of the mill pumpkin ale, loaded with artificial pumpkin spice and not much else. It's body was substantial, which was nice (thin feeling pumpkin ales are pretty nasty). The best part of it was the appearance. It just looked gorgeous in the glass. The color was a clean yet deep ruby-amber-brown, and the head was pure white and fluffy.

A decent introduction to the style. Pumpkin beers are trendy, and as each season goes by, folks tend to love them or hate them. If you want to get your feet wet on pumpkin beer, try a six pack of this one. If you like it, try a few more exotic pumpkins. If you don't like it, pumpkin might not be for you. It's not your fault.

I didn't like this Oktoberfest as much as others. Not a fan of the smell and taste. Mild IBU and carbonation. Pours amber-copper with a mild disappearing head. Hints of pumpkin.

A- doing this review with the light of the tiki torches but through my eyes it looks like a dark amber clear, and has a light head that fades quickly.
S- not a strong smell to this one, but getting the typical belgian/blue moon style scent, with a very faint hint of pumpkin
T- refreshing and light. Tastes like it smells
F- light feel with little carbonation
O- a decent beer. Nothing spectacular. Don't expect to be blown back by pumpkin flavors but I'm enjoying this right now.

Lacing poor – few tiny islands of tiny bubbles
Body light orange, clear, effervescent
Flavor of light spices – clove, nutmeg, a hint of cinnamon; no hops, no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light to medium, watery, lively carbonation

Appearance 4, Aroma 4.25, Flavor 4, Palate 4, Overall 4

Has a nice golden orange color with a thick white head. Can smell faint pumpkin along with cinnamon. This is a soft spiced ale, a little bit watered down.

Not a bad pumpkin brew but the taste is missing something. It pours a nice clear light brown with amber tints. The smell is mostly pumpkin spices with a tiny bit of malt. The taste is a bit thin. Mostly pumpkin and spices with a little malt sweetness. No real bitterness at all. Not a great brew but definitely a drinkable pumpkin ale.

Beer has a great color when poured, a nice thick head, though it fades rather quickly. Good carbonation, can see lots of bubbles rising due to its rather clear appearance. Get scents of Nutmeg, a hint of pumpkin but overall not a powerful smell to it. When drank I didn't get much pumpkin taste at all, a little crept in the back after several other spices had faded. While I enjoy the flavor (tastes alot like a basic brown ale) I would like to see alot more PUMPKIN featured. The feel is nice, a good smooth beer, not too much carbonation and is very easy to drink. Overall I would say 3.5-4 stars, not one I will probably seek out, however if there are some at a Halloween party or I see a killer sale, I wouldn't think twice about grabbing one.

I'm not a fan of the wheat/pumpkin concept, but this beer is overall solid. The wheat flavor interferes and diminishes the crispness the beer could have.

Both flavor and aroma contain cinnamon and nutmeg. As stated above, the wheat gets in the way a bit, in my opinion.

Goes down smooth. A simple but effective pumpkin ale, that is sadly better than plenty of standard (not imperial) pumpkin ales out there.

Look: Pours a copper brown with a short white head

Smell: Pumpkin and sweet malts

Taste: Pumpkin and some pie spices, bready malts

Feel: Light body and good carbonation

Overall: Not a bad pumpkin beer, but it doesn't have a whole lot going for it either.

Great for the fall but not as good as other pumpkin beers. It is too sweet and not as spicy as I would prefer it. Good wheat taste and light brown color. Overall I like it a lot!

One of the better Blue Moon seasonals I've had; so nicely balanced in its spices and drinkability that it gives some of the more recent Shock Top offerings I've had (Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat, Lemon Shandy) a run for their money.
