Coors Banquet is brewed with 100% Rocky Mountain water and Moravian barley from many generations of family farmers. True to its roots, it is brewed only in one place, Golden, Colorado, and nowhere else.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt, corn syrup (dextrose), yeast, hop extract

12-pack bought from Piggly Wiggly. $11.99 so about a dollar/bottle
1936 style stubby bottles w/ traditional twist-off caps
yellow straw in color with bubbles
no aroma to my nose
crisp, dry, refreshing. a very good beer so i really don't know why it got a poor rating.
on a side note both my late father and grandpa used to jokingly call coors cowboy kool-ade.

Coors Banquet is a favorite. Love the type of malty flavor it delivers. Definitely a heavier flavor than Coors Light and it's more than welcome. Coors gets a solid review here.

Pretty good option if you want an average beer. Nothing offensive, the flavor isn't too weak or too strong, does the job fine for any situation. Refreshing on a nice hot day or after some hard physical labor.

I drank this beer, but I didn't notice. The koozie the girl put it in at Tecovas was by far the highlight. Still better than Coors Light, which is like saying, I fell in a cesspool, but I didn't drown. Ok—actually, I preferred it to a bottle of water. I will possibly drink this beer again. Good night.

This used to be a sought after beer for folks outside of its distribution area. Now it is everywhere in my he US. I find this a boring American adjunct lager. Drinkable and forgettable. Nice colour, little scent or head. Taste is slightly sweet and bland. Little aftertaste. I can see drinking lots of these for the sake of drinking but I prefer something with more flavour.

Recently sampled during a macro swill blind tasting. Poured from a 16 ounce can into a 20 ounce wine glass (roughly half the can).

The beer pours a solid gold amber color with light lacing and decent head retention. While nothing extraordinary, this is a nice enough looking beer. On the nose I'm not picking up a whole lot, which I guess is no surprise. Over time and with patience, I seemed to pick up some sweet corn and a hint of pepper. To say the least, I was not impressed by the aroma profile with this beer. The flavor profile replicates the nose fairly closely, with a seltzer water like finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with a clean, moderately long finish. Alcohol is virtually understandable, so I guess drinkability isn't too bad. It would probably be pretty easy to pound down a six pack of this swill without much difficulty, except I'm not sure why anyone would want to. The flavor profile is pretty unimpressive and boring... It would be more fun drinking down a six pack of fruit flavored sparkling mineral water frankly.

If this was the only beer on the market, I would discontinue drinking beer.

Coors Banquet.. aka.. Coors Regular, Coors Original, or Coors Heavy was and is the staple beer of the Rockies. Not as popular as its sister light beer version, but still respectful. It pours like a typical American adjunct lager. Head fades quickly. Has a smooth full bodied mouthfeel with a quick clean finish. It isn’t as popular anymore as it used to be some 25+ years ago, but still has a heavy following within its respective Midwest region. If your looking for a better alternative to Miller Genuine Draft or Budweiser look no further then the golden box of coors. You wouldn’t be disappointed for its Price.

I usually get these as a cheap option. Comes in a slightly skinny 12oz can. straight from the fridge it is crisp and refreshing. taste is sweet and inoffensive. for the type of beer this is a good one.
