12 oz can
A: Vigorous pour into a pint glass. One finger of fizzy head that quickly receded to a surface foam partially covering surface. As glass proceeds, leaves a small amount of lacing. Light carbonation. Pale straw color.
S: Not much here, some sweetness and some bread.
T: About the same as the smell with a little added tartness like green apples. Finished crisp and refreshing.
M: Light bodied. Light carbonation. A little tingly on the tongue.
O: This is one of the best American Adjunct Lagers I know of. Its certainly ok. Nothing is really off with this beer. A good beer for what it is and is very drinkable in quantity. With 5 percent ABV, its a good backyard BBQ beer and one good for camping other other outdoor activities. Coors Light sucks but this Banquet beer is ok for what it is and certainly beats Miller, Budwiser, etc. Its a good beer to drink with people who do not appreciate craft beer when you are doing the buying. ;)

I had every reason to not like this beer at all after reading some of the reviews , but keeping an open mind can pay off. American beers have never been a favourite of mine. No long-necked Buds or Busch beer for this girl. But this beer was different,
Banquet has an excellent mouth-feel and virtually no after-taste. Complimented the Pizza I was eating very well. Love, Love , Love this beer.
