Drank from a 16 fl. oz (473ml) can purchased at Downtown Wine & Spirits, Somerville, MA
Served in a pint glass

Crystal clear, pale golden yellow appearance. The beer was topped by a one inch crown of super tight, cottony, bright white foam that fell rather quickly. No lacing whatsoever.

The aroma was crisp and fresh with an intensely dry, lager yeast quality. Somewhat lemony with a touch of wheatiness. Smooth and pretty solid for the style.

The flavor profile was tart and noticeably skunky initially, but the skunkiness disappeared as the beer sat. Crisp, dry and refreshing with a good dose of tart lemon. Slightly wheaty. Hints of earthy hops on the finish. Refreshing and amazingly easy drinking.

The mouthfeel was solid. Medium bodied with a smooth, fine, soft carbonation. Not overly aggressive like many other macro lagers. The liquid actually felt surprisingly plush.

The classic "Banquet Beer" may not be an earth shattering macro, but it is crisp, refreshing and would be perfect for summer cookouts. This is definitely a step or two better than your average American adjunct lager.
