L: Pours copper in color. Unfiltered appearance but not hazy. Formed 2 fingers of a frothy offwhite cap that dissipated quickly. Moderate lacing on glass.
S: Mango galore. Mango is dominant aroma on nose, very sweet smelling. Can definitely tell it's a wheat beer.
T: Sweet mango fruit upfront and on the initial part of the finish. After taste is short and diminishes quickly.
F: Thin, light, watery. Carbonation moderate.
O: Enjoyable for what it is. The mango aroma is crazy pungent. I am enjoying this beer and am glad to have tried. Cheers!

I had such high hopes for this beer. Unfortunately, the fake mango flavor is far too pronounced for me. The aftertaste is particularly unpleasant. I like BM Belgian Wheat, but this? Is it even beer? What exactly is it?

It's a watered down wheat beer with apricot and artificial mango flavoring to provide a good enough nose and taste. I like mango so I don't mind the artificialness to it. Eh, it's Coors so keep that grain of salt in mind.

Okay, it's not that complex a flavor profile, however it is a big peachy, mango hit which really refreshes on a hot summer day. Once again the reminder of a hot summer day comes to mind. I liked it.

i tried to like this, i really did, but these flavored blue moon beers, at least the ones out in distribution, have gotten appreciably worse i feel like. this is pretty foul, over the top and artificial with the mango, not quite as absurdly intense as the pacific apricot one from the same box, which was straight perfume, but this is over flavored by any measure. i like mango, and i like that its identifiable in here, but it tastes like a mango candy or something. i do get some good fluffy fresh wheat malt in here which is nice, i like that it still tastes like beer underneath all the flavor, i have always respected blue moon and its variants for that, you can always taste the malt. some spice and minerals here too, desserty and kind of fake and cheap to me overall, and some interesting yeast as well. nice carbonation and body, but this is so overdone as to be a novelty to me, and i honestly didnt even finish the bottle. its a shame, because i think real mango in the right amount would play well in a base beer like this, but they missed the mark on this one. targeting a different demographic i think with this one...

The beer pours out a medium hazy dark golden color, with a thin white head------------ the aromas are of tart fresh mango(mango for days)---------------- the flavors start off with mango for days followed by wheat, light grass and floral notes, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with no bitterness at all----------------- overall this beer was good - I was impressed with this offering from blue moon, it was really a one dimensional beer with mango leading the way but it was light, juicy and refreshing, maybe the best blue moon I have tried yet

As a flavored wheat beer it's meh, but as a dessert beer, well, there's something there to hand your hat on...

Cloudy as most wheat beers, it had an appealing orange color even though there was little foam and no lacing to mention. The smell was sweet and definitely of mango, sweet, delicious mango - but not evenly blended with the wheat background as you would expect. Mouthfeel was smooth, lightly carbonated, and frankly a surprise as I usually find these macros overly carbonated for my taste. Taste-wise it was a full-flavored mango taste and like the smell it wasn't blended evenly, but it was sweet and definitely would work in my book as a dessert beer. Overall, it's a decent beer, not spectacular but certainly something to have on hand for an after dinner (or lunch) treat.

Well crafted fruit Wheat Ale with a very Mango forward flavor.
The presentation is very nice like all Bluemoon products. Right up front the aroma is very mango forward. You won't wonder, this beer is straight up mango. The taste is where the beer falls short of my expectations. Yes, yes, yes there is plenty of Mango flavor. I was expecting this beer to use mango as a compliment to the malt but not so. This beer is Mango all the way through with some bland toasted notes through out. I reserve my judgment and don't want to say anything bad about the beer. It just seems to mask the more subtle tones you usually get from a ale. I would have liked the mango to complement rather than be the annoying over the top loud flavor. Still fine beer all things considered. The feel is medium. Nice silkiness. Very filling and I imagine would make a great beach day drink. I think I would rather have the honey wheat instead.

12oz bottle poured into Duvel tulip. No discernible date, but some poorly printed gibberish on bottom though.

Appearance - Slightly hazy gold body with no carbonation. Big white pancake batter head with slight lacing and moderate-low retention. 4

Smell - Overwhelming mango up front with some very faint cardboard and corn musk in the body. The smell is so pronounced and all consuming that it almost seems added in after the fact, like a perfume or flavoring. But it's not a bad smell. 3.75

Taste - "Ahoo hoo hoo hooooo". That's my first verbal response. The smell got me off guard for this bitter and astringent head, body and tail. Some mango sweetness on the front but a lot of cardboard grossness on the rest of it. 2.25

Mouthfeel - Way too astringent. 2

Overall - Its strange, dynamic qualities might work well together when paired with food, but as a tasting beer and especially as a session beer, it really isn't up to snuff. I recommend experimenting with food pairings with this one, it has potential -- at least in that one regard. 2.75

12 Oz Bottle poured into a glass
Look - cloudy golden appearance with lots of carbonation. Inch of foam fades rather quick, not much lacing
Smell - Doesn't smell like a beer. Smells exactly like mango juice. Very sweet aroma. Just a slight hint of wheat.
Taste - This is like a bad experiment or something. It just tastes like mango flavored wheat beer and the mango flavor is very strong. Its not really a beer, more similar to sparkling mango wine. If you like really sweet and fruity beers maybe you would enjoy this, but to me it doesn't taste natural and it doesn't taste good

Overall, there is only two flavors: mango and wheat. Too sweet in my opinion and overpowering mango flavor. Prickly carbonation. It just isn't my kind of beer. I am trying to grade it honestly, i would drink it if someone gave me one but not something i will ever buy again. Grade is a C-

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a smudged expiration date that look like Dec 23, 2018. Sampled on July 28, 2018.

The pour is a slightly hazy looking golden or light-amber color with a quick lasting white head that leaves zilch lacing as it fades.

Whoa! Can you say mango on the nose? Yes, it is a mango-wheat ale but the mango is the bully in the characteristics with any wheat or bready malt notes way down below.

Light and smooth mouthfeel.

Like the aroma, the mango is just front and center in the taste, which, to me, is too extreme. I'd prefer it to be more subtle but present. It overtakes any wheat or sweet malt characters that are floating around below. Oh yes, they are there - but the mango is just too powerful for my liking.

Smells and tastes like spiked, carbonated mango juice. There's really not much else to take in, can't even really tell that it's a wheat beer. If you like mangos, which I do, you'll find this easy and inoffensive if not borderline ok

I generally like fruit beers, but they need to be a beer, not just fruit juice. Coors Mango Wheat is much much too sweet. I felt I was drinking mango juice. But I didn't think I was drinking a beer.

It poured a hazy orange with a white head that Hades with a slight retention. There is good carbonation that stays throughout the drink. The smell is straight up mango and nothing else. Taste follows smell as it is a sweet mango flavor. Overall a nice surprise as I was not sure how the mango would work out but it does just maybe a little sweet for some people.

Pour is a slightly ha orange-ish color with a frothy white head. Nice looking beer. The nose is dominated by mango, and it’s a really syrupy sweet mango.

The mango also dominates the taste, to the point that it is cloying, and there are no notes to indicate this has anything to do with a wheat beer. It’s a little refreshing, so it can work in the summer, but this isn’t worth seeking, IMHO.

Bottle to tulip glass.

LOOK: Cloudy dark yellow. Medium white head, fades quickly. OK retention.
AROMA: The mango smells a little fake, but it's strong. I also get peach, mold, and that eggy wheat aroma .
TASTE: Pretty tasty. The mango flavor is accurate.
FEEL: medium to full body; creamy.

Not bad at all.

Blue Moon Brewing Co. "Blue Moon Mango Wheat"
12 FL. OZ. brown glass bottle, coded "AUG0618 001200157"
$2 @ Giant, Havertown, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: It pours a very hazy golden amber body beneath a frothy head of white. The head doesn't seem to be holding very well though, which is odd for a wheat beer. ... ... I walked away for a minute and now I find the head has really settled, it's not even got a full surface covering at this point. The aroma, however, is quite nice with plenty of sweet mango and papaya. I know it's only supposed to be mango but I'm getting papaya as well. It's a little bit artificial but that's OK, I'll accept that as a trade off for more brightness. If you swirl it around and look for it you can find some wheaty malt as well. On to the flavor... I was worried that it would have that same bright, artificial mango that the aroma has but it doesn't, and even more wheat comes through along with some yeasty phenols. The fruitiness is balanced just right in my opinion for a sweetish, tropical beer. There's not a lot of bitterness to it but there is a light tang, and that helps to balance it in the finish. It's medium bodied and gently crisp. Overall I like it a lot more than I thought I was going to, and I'm not really that fond of mangoes either. It's nicely done, and really well balanced for what it is. I'd certainly buy this for outdoor events in the spring and summer. Is this a seasonal release? I can't tell, and I guess it doesn't even matter, for some people this would probably be perfect all year long, especially those in warmer climates. Nicely done Blue Moon!

Pours a foggy dark-orange with a fizzy half finger of white head. Head retention is minimal, with no lacing left behind. Aroma is sugary sweet mango, almost to the point of cavity inducing. It comes off as artificial too. Flavor profile is another huge wallop of mango, with a hint of wheat, and biscuit malt behind. Again, the mango notes come swiftly and powerfully. While it starts somewhat natural tasting, it finishes with a long lasting decay of artificial mango flavor on the tongue. Mouth feel is still, and smooth with a medium thickness. Overall, artificial mango is abundant in this one. It is a sugary sweet beer, which keeps it from being easy to gulp or have more than one.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

Nice golden murky body and soapy head which dissapates to a thin layer around the edges. Tastes a bit soapy as well for being mango. If you like the taste of mango hand soap, this is the beer for you.

Blue Moon Mango Wheat has a medium, white head, a hazy or murky gold-orange appearance, glass lacing, and some bubble action. Aroma is of a strong mango fruit whiff, with underlying white wheat bread. Taste is of those elements and a very mild, rounding hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Mango Wheat finishes midway between wet & dry. Great stuff, in the style.

I am not a fan of a strong beer, as a matter of fact I almost gave up completely until this beer! I love that there is no strong after taste and the mango (strangely enough) really tastes great! I recommend for anyone who is not a fan of strong beer!
P.s I’m not a beer guru :)
