If you are expecting Blue Moon Belgian White with some mango flavor, you might be surprised. This one's all mango all the time. I don't detect a hint of wheat on the tongue, maybe a note or two on the nose. It's mango ester and not fresh mango, though. Quite sweet as well. There is hardly any aftertaste. The initial spritz of mango is all you're getting. It's not totally unappealing, but definitely not a flavor I would seek out. It finishes light with medium carbonation, as does this review.

This beer tastes like biting into an actual mango, rather than tasting mango flavored. It’s refreshing and only slightly sweet, not syrupy or cloying.

Look: Hazy orange color. No head

Smell, Mango juice, orange peel, ciitrus,

Taste: Same as the smell with some wheat and cereals. The mango taste artificial but still pleasant to drink

Feel: Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation but the aftertaste is not there for me. The 19 IBU you feel that makes a bitterness on the aftertaste that for a wheat beer it's not suppose to be there. If it was like 10 to 15 IBU the feel will have be more pleasant.

So overall would I recommend it ? As a beer overall yes, but as a wheat beer, no.

Would I buy it again ? I will but rarely, maybe once a year or 2

Dorada, con un dedo de espuma persistente. Ligera y de carbonatación media. Aroma a frutas tropicales. En boca predomina el mango y el trigo en menor medida.
Para beber algo refrescante, a un buen precio y mejor que muchas radler masificadas, me parece una gran opción.

Bottle. Murky orange. Thin wispy head.
Wheat, orange and mango aroma. What a surprise!
Taste reflects the smell. Some light spice.
Light carbonation. Thicker body.
Rather artificial.

L: Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a thin white head.
S: Certainly smells like mango, coriander, orange peel, straw.
T: Taste follows the nose, the mango flavor seems kind of artificial though.
F: Medium-bodied, high carbonation, crisp.
O: Not a bad beer to enjoy on a nice summer day, I just found the mango to be a bit overwhelming & artificial.

Very sweet, almost artificial. Lemon, spices, wheat. This one tastes too fake for my liking. Almost cloying. 4 oz is enough of this one for me.

This beer smelled great and tasted okay at best.

After having 1 beer can with my friend we felt a little bit of stomache pain but ignored it and then after the second beer that was it.

Felt aweful throughout the night! The mango did not mix well with this beer and is the worst beer I've ever had. We were both up periodically throughout the night, feeling body pains, too warm and for me peeing several times.

I would be cautious with this beer if you're going to drink it.

All things considered, Mango wheat reminds me of the wheat beer Mango cart from Golden Road (AB-InBev) or Matso's from Australia. The color is darker wheat, still unfiltered but even a half meter from me I can smell the mango distinctly; but, what Mango Cart does well this beer hardly delivers on.

Outside of the naturally unfiltered appearance, and darker malt, there is little to no head retention and slight lacing. On the nose, there is a floral smell of hops, wheat, and mainly mango. The taste however is more floral hops, light and flowery, medium-bodied as the carbonation makes this one a little large with a ton of carbonation. The sweetness factor is in the above-average range but is more tart though.

As far as mango wheat beers go this is passable. On a hot day, I'd recommend a couple to sit back and watch the day go by; however, there are better options on the market than this and the carbonation really makes this a bit filling after one or two.

330ml bottle from Tesco (£1.80):
Medium amber & cloudy with a foamy, 1cm head that covers the surface & holds well. The nose is dominated by ripe mango with some peach & apricot in there too, then finally some wheat at the end, it's very fruity & fresh but fairly one-dimensional at the same time. The strong mango flavours carry over to the taste but its not as pronounced, it also seems more artificial here too with some wheat flavours at the end. It's sweet with a medium body & plenty of fizz given the strong carbonation before a tiny bit of bitterness sees things out. It's quite pleasant initially but the mango is the overriding flavour throughout & it gets a little boring by the end.

Tastes like a decent beer with mango flavor. Look is like sparkling juice in the glass--literally. It has no head or foam really. Would have been better as a molester beer (Mike's Hard flavor:)) than a beer, imho. Drinkable still.

L: Great golden color with a little bit of haze to it. Small bit of white head.
S: An amazing mix of a nice whole wheat bread with a bit of mango fruitiness to it.
T: The taste is great and is like how you would think, the mango blends nicely with the wheat but I wish it had a little more flavor to it; its a little light.
F: Super light and a good amount of carbonation.
O: Wouldn't order at the bar but this is by far one of the most refreshing beers to have outside in the summer or on the porch.

This is an excellent summer wheat beer that is pleasantly flavored with mango. It has a cloudy appearance common to Blue Moon and is fairly light on the nose aside from some fruity, juicy notes. It tastes strongly of Mango, citrus, fruit juice, and wheat, and leaves a pleasant residual aftertaste that is not cloyingly sweet. It gets a bit thin in body toward the end and the intense fruit flavors noticeably subside. Overall it is an easy drinking wheat beer that beats any run of the mill pilsener on a hot day.

Poured it into a glass and I’m getting a whiff of mango every so often. Somewhat hazy and golden with a decent white head, looks pretty decent. Scent is 90% mango like maybe 10% wheat in the back. Flavor is decent if not a bit “watered down” with mango and an ok wheat note through the finish. This beer could benefit from increased carbonation in my opinion.

Bluemoon is one of my favorite beers and the mango one is very good to get a very strong powerful mango aroma and the mango flavor is not very overwhelming either but is present.

Very cloudy golden color. Some visible particulate floaters. Finger and a half of a pillow soft soapy white head. Look at that while typing my head has died down to just a light topper for the beer.

Smell is very candy like mango. Kind of like the dried mango strips in a bag from Costco. That is fresh mango but they do add a lot of sugar to it.

On the flavor you do get some nice mango. Not as sweet as on the nose but definitely more sweet than the natural fruit. The typical wheat beer base comes in at the back of the taste to pull some of the sweetness away and almost uses that bit of grainy taste to pull the flavor back to a natural mango.

Mouth feel is a wheat beer. And by that I mean you get all the good flavors and beer up front and then the body builds to more of a medium feel. The finish does have a slight slickness but is just there and gone.

Overall this beer is all good with me and may be the one for you. I only go 3.5 overall for a few reasons. The more I sip the more artificial the mango seems. I mean if you like a lot of mango or a little try it and see what you think. I like mango just for the record. Another reason would be that I think they tried. And by that I think they just tried adding some mango to a Blue Moon. Is that a bad thing? Well, in all reality no. Would I rather drink a Blue Moon? Probably. For all that, Cheers to Coors for this tasty beer and Cheers to my BA friends!

335 ml bottle poured into a pint glass. Stars vs. Maple Leafs on the television.

Fun fact: This is the first beer I've reviewed on Beer Advocate. Howdy!

Look: Hazy orange in color with a decent head.

Smell: Mango Grove with hints of wheat. Very enjoyable nose.

Taste: Holy moly that's a lot of mango! To me it's not an intense artificial smell that you can get from macro beers. Toward the end it got really bitter and there were some funky Campari-like notes.

Feel: Good body and nice mouthfeel. Sorta got light to the end. This beer took a funky twist toward the end.

Overall: For what it is, it is a decent beer. I don't know how often I'm out for mango style beers, but this is a decent get if you like it.

Light and refreshing, the mango is strong but the grainy wheatiness was more dominant. Like many fruited beers the fruit is more of a candied artificial mango than a juicy flavor. Overall not bad, but lacking complexity. I won’t be buying this again.

Mango Wheat pours a cloudy bronze color, with no head. Big fresh mango aromas. Flavor is big and sweet, lots and lots of mango, with a slightly bitter and tart finish. Good body and feel. Overall, lots of fruit in this one, mild strangeness near the end.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for just under $3 CDN.

Appearance - Very hazy mango orange colored brew. A decent two finger head is poured but fizzles out extremely quickly leaving not even a trace of lacing.

Smell - Quite intensely of ripe mango, too much so to be naturally brewed without additives, however the mango itself is quite appetizing.

Taste - Sweet as hell. Overly abundant inorganic mango sweetness. Some base wheat flavors in there too and then the mango sweetness comes back yet again. Almost as sweet as the diabetes inducing Ber-ita series of Malt Liquor from Bud Light than can barely be called "beer".

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied initially, but thin, there's not much substance here. Carbonation is alright.

Overall - Way too sweet, but if you like mangoes, I guess this fits the bill.
