Pounder can from the clearance aisle. Actually looks pretty good. But looks can be deceiving. And they are. Nasty, musty, pasty aroma, wet paper smell. Taste does not improve things, corny, overly sweet flavors. Every time I go back for another sip, it loses points. The beautiful foamy head is the lone saving grace, and that disappears pretty quickly. Hobo piss indeed.a and I thought Nigeria Pal was bad....

Clear pale gold with one finger of foamy white head that lasted about three minutes. No lacing as yet.
Smell is malts white bread grassy hops and a touch of corn sweetness.
Taste is similar to the smell malts corn grassy or herbal hops.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with strong carbonation. Finish mildly sweet with just a kiss of hop bitterness.
Overall one of the better Ice beers from the U.S. It is very hard to find in my area so when I saw a six pack of pints I bought it.

A - seriously? You think I'm going to pour this into a glass? The can says it all, it's not trying to lie and make this seem like it's going to be good...
S - oh yea, mostly fusel alcohol and rotten apple, with some light grains in there.
T - pretty bad, but drinkable. Same fusel alcohol and green apple. Leaves a wierd sweet, chemical flavor. But it's not overly off putting like you'd think.
M - light, alcohol is there though, aftertaste is wierd sweet chemical flavor
O - bad, but not that bad. I can see how I drank this a few times in college without getting too sick of it. If you take it for what it is it doesn't deserve a good score, but it doesn't miss the mark as far as what it's supposed to be.

I used to drink this by the truckload in college, it was cheap and had a decent amount of alcohol, the cost to alcohol ratio is the only possible redeeming factor of drinking this. It tastes terrible, a little more full bodied than Keystone light. There is an subtle rubber flavor in every sip, you can taste a few different grains in there too I guess, and it all finishes with a slightly metallic aftertaste that makes you question how you've to come try this beer again after all these years.

Very watery a usual adjunct extremely "light" flavour for an ice style lager. Fantasticly cheap priced beer but other than that not a brew to go out of your way to purchase.

Paid $1.50 for a 24 ounce can. Poured down the center of a clear plastic 16 ounce cup. Thick snow white head, maybe 3 fingers worth, with a very light straw color. Smell is corn, adjuncts, grain, some hops. Tastes of corn, bread, grains. Mouthfeel is crisp. Taste got worse as it started to warm. Drink this ice cold, and quickly. Overall, it reminded me of Coor's Light. Couldn't pick up the 5.9% alcohol. Very light beer, but you have to be careful due to the alcohol. Probably will buy again if I can't afford the good stuff.

The Iceman cometh.

Nothing here to wave a flag about. Another 5.9% Ice Beer along the lines of the other 5.9% Ice Beers. Light color, sweetish, adjunct heavy medium flavor, best served very cold, verges on unpleasant if you let it warm up.

Another candidate for the sale rack.

Appearance: Poured into a porter/stout glass. Lots of smoke when I opened the can. Keystone Ice has a thick, stark-white head that dissipates at a medium-fast pace, and leaves a thin layer of foam. As I drink the beer, there's left some spotty lacing. The body is a clear light yellow color, with almost no bubbles.

Aroma: this beer smells a great deal like Coors Light, but at the end of the smell appears that sweet, unusual (but not bad) freezer-burn aspect common for American ice adjunct lagers. No hops or alcohol.

Taste: wow, this tastes just like a Coors Light, but it is a little more mute and the aftertaste (which, in a Coors light, is a blooming of white bread) is quickly cut-off by the beer's dry finish. Light hop bitterness at the end, and no alcohol. Much like a Coors Light, it has that blend of forward breadiness from the malt, sweet adjunct, and clean Colorado water. No ice lager flavor detected. However, the pleasantness of the flavor makes up for the lack of an ice lager aspect.

Mouthfeel/finish: the mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, watery, clean, and light; the finish is dry and clean.

Overall, this is a great party/budget/warm-weather/kickin'-back beer. It's a good example of the style. And, in my opinion, it's great overall. However, it's a little too light in the body, for the style. Ice beers should be a little bolder than regular American-style lagers.

That this is a Coors product is evident. Honestly, I forgot that this was a Coors product until I smelled the beer. When I put my nose to the class, I immediately recognized that Coors (Light) aroma. This beer is, counterintuitively, lighter in some respects than Coors Light. The carbonation is lighter, and the aftertaste is almost non-existent.

This is a solid budget beer or go-to beer, or both.

Cheers.

I remember having this one about three years ago as a palate washer and determined it was one of my favorite AAL's of all time, So I grabbed a $1 25oz can of it today at a gas station.

Look - Clearrrr yellow with a monster frothy white head that leaves a deep pit of emptiness in the middle.Carbonation rushing from the bottom, with no remaining lacing.

Smell - Well this isn't quite what I remembered...Grainy and chemical.

Taste - Either I was drunk when I had this last time or they actually got cheaper with making it. Tastes sour. the grains have gotten much, much worse. The chemical tinge makes this thing undrinkable.

Feel - Medium bodied with heavy carbonation,

Overall - Got much worse over the years. Impossible to drink. Rivals Steel Reserve in terms of terrible flavor.

25 oz can after more painting.
Dark straw color with a smallish head. Light grainy malt with hints of corn and green apple. Crisp light refreshing beverage with little body. Easy to swill, great on a hot day, but huge lack of flavor.

It isn't the greatest thing, but isn't the worst. Cheap. Its swill really. Still not bad. Tastes ok. when people give things like this a 1 or 2 what are they comparing it to?

Pours a nice golden color with lots of carbonation but no head. Smells like highly fermented corn. A little sweet and some bitterness in the back of the throat and highly carbonated going down.

Poured from a 22 OZ can into a pint glass. this has no true beer aroma. The color is a golden yellow and the taste is grain or corn infused carbonation. This beer is made for one thing, drink a few to forget the day, well: there is always the Christmas gift for someone you don’t really care for.

Jared feels like a regular old ice-style lager tonight.

Appearance [2.5] : 3 finger head, recedes to about 1 within a minute. Body is straw with ultra transparency. Not much to talk about.

Aroma [3] : corn, malt, some banana liqueur, strawberry, fruit, straw and grass. Strong suit.

Taste [1.75] : spilled my beer again. It's malty, small bite of corn. Some sour funk at the end. Hops taste rotten. Sour alcohol nastiness at the finish. Not gonna philosophize this beer, it's a freaking macro ice paper bag beer. It's a little less than okay.

Mouthfeel [2] : it's a beer.

Overall [2.02] : pissed I spilled it all over my reloading desk. It's not great, not terrible - but almost.

Words cannot describe the horrible taste of this beer (if I'd call it beer). I picked up a tallboy on my way home from work. I popped the top and had me a few swigs before throwing that nasty stuff out the window into the ditch. Tastes like watered down milky fruit loops. Don't waste your .99cents.

Appearance: Light gold. A little darker than other beers of this style. White head that goes away quickly.

Smell: Grains with some sourness. Nothing offensive.

Taste: Corn and some sweetness. Maybe just a slight touch of hops.

Mouthfeel: Light, but not too watery. Easy drinking and refreshing.

Overall: An enjoyable beer for a hot day. Nothing to write home about, but nothing that makes it worthy of a drain pour. If you like this style of beer, then I think it's worth a look.

Keystone ICE is an ICE brew made by Coors. Pours a nice amber color. With a small white head. The can says always smooth, not as smooth as the light. There is nothing bad about this brew for being 5.9 avb. Nothing much different from your other Ice Brews on the market.

Here in Pittsburgh, PA. where I live, Keystone Ice/ass is one of the cheapest econo-swills one can buy . I picked up a 30-pack for $13.99 at a distributor .
It has that scary industrial grainy chemical taste to it.
A friend of mine says it reminds him of "lucky charms milk" .
A few will take the edge off a bad day or that too much coffee kind of anxiety but you don't want to have any more after that . This is I dare say "lawnmower beer" for when you just want something cold effervescent and alcohol-y .
There are worse cheap swills/malt liquors to be had so, this is NOT the worst cheapy swill out there but it is as I say , very industrial and a bit harsh after 2 or 3 and i've noticed the hangover can be pretty gruesome if you pound a bunch of it .

Pours to a thin white head and pale yellow-gold color. Aroma is grainy, chemicals and faintly vomit-like and not much else. Flavor is corny, vegetal, grainy and not much else. Mouth-feel is light, overcarbonated and rough although the can says it is smooth. No mass produced beer that I have ever tasted that boldly claimed it was "smooth" on the label actually was. Overall, it is a cheap way to get drunk and not much else.

24 oz can poured into a goblet. Oct 28, 13 on the bottom.

A: Pours a clear light golden amber with minimal head that is very quick to dissipate. Not much visible carbonation.

S: Overly sweet malt dominates the aroma. Not very enjoyable.

T: Drink these puppies cold as the flavor goes downhill once it starts warming up. As with the aroma this is a pretty sweet beer, reminiscent of an apple cider with no apples. Pale malts are present as well.

M: Light body with decent carbonation. Mostly clean finish, higher abv is hidden fairly well.

Overall this was the old standby for the college beer fridge and is just a beer you buy when you want to get drunk.

Fairly neutral nose. Somewhat of a sweet, but not really malty impression. Bit of fruitiness (apple cider) and alcohol. Flavor is on par with what the nose indicates. Very mild, but slightly tart apple fruitiness and only a hint of malt and hops. Carbonation is intense, but not brutal, and serves to cleanse the palate on the short finish.

Overall, a pretty good 'Ice' beer that's stronger than some 'Malt Liquors' and easier to drink than some brand-name 'Light beers.'

I did not try this one in a glass, i dont think their is a sutable glass for it? Anyway it smells like corn/rice, it taste like corn/rice , and it has one of the most present tastes of alcohol of any beer ive ever drank, making it not so easy to enjoy. Ice cold from the cooler and drank with an open mind. This beer "to me" reminded me of a whiskey taste mixed with a glass of ice that had been melting for awhile. Im not bashing , its just not that good to me, probably my least favorite of all.

Pale clear gold with a small white head which faded immediately and leaves no lacing. The aroma has cooked corn and grain. Not at all appealing.

Tastes like water, corn, grain. and not much else. Bland, boring, and unpleasant. No hop flavor, or much of anything else I look for in a beer.

Light bodied, too much carbonation, and poorly made. Not sure who likes drinking this, or why it's still around. They probably sell a lot of this on April Fool's Day.

Appearance: Looks like most other cheap domestics... Straw-colored, with a half finger of paper-white head that quickly fades to zero.

Smell: Faint rice-ish, metallic smell. Not much going on at this party.

Taste: It tastes a like what it smells like, but a bit stronger. This stuff's pretty carbonated, and slightly metallic tasting. The metallic thing carries over from Keystone Light. It's drinkable. Ice-cold, it's actually refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Very carbonated, crisp, and thin.

Overall: As a party, "lets get drink for cheap" beverage, it works. People don't buy this expecting to be blown away (especially when the tall boys are 2 for $2.22). When I drink this beer, there's an intangible quality I can sense. I can't explain it, but it's the feeling that if you drink a lot of this, you will feel like death the next morning.
