I tend to like wheat ales when the temperature gets up and I've had some enjoyable ones so far this year. Unfortunately I won't be repeating this one and I'm not sure I'll finish the six pack.
Look: When first poured it has a nice but thin< for a wheat ale, head. There is a lot of carbonation and that looks pretty nice in the glass. However this doesn't look like any other wheat ale I've head as it is crystal clear rather than the hazy look of most wheat ales.
Smell: Nothing offensive. A slightly sweet aroma.
Taste: Hop presence is, for me, hard to detect. However the honey is noticeable.
Feel: Very light, even lighter than most other wheat ales.
Overall: I was hoping that I would like this more as some of the wheat ales I've tried this year were limited releases that I liked quite a bit.

Mild yellow color with a little bit of sediment and almost an inch of white head that fades quickly.
Aroma was sweet and not wheaty.
A little bit of sweetness, corn, lemon. Too much sugar. Honey maybe. Needs more malt. Something to cut the sweetness from seeming like a malternative beverage for teens.

in the bottle when this came out, a long time ago, it was really really good. i mean, good as an underage kid drinking one of his first craft beers around a bonfire in a summer setting where you feel king of the world, but for where we have all evolved to since then as craft beer people, its not adequate. its clear looking (not sure it used to be), and its head is short lived. it smells like honey for sure, very sweet, but yeasty too, which is what makes it different and worthwhile (even still), but there is no doubt this beer has changed some. heavy to drink much of because of the residual sugar, and i dont get the same spice i used to, white pepper and coriander and even funk. medium bodied sits weird from the tap, this is one of those beers on the edge of craft, yet another one, that works a lot better form the bottle than it does from the tap. in a context of macro beer, this is a clear winner for me, but from a craft standpoint, especially an adult one, it is a step or two back. end of the day, its a lot better than some of the other blue moon seasonals. ill hold a memory rather than another bottle to commemorate the old times...
