A. Brown/copper color. Clear but some hazyness. Limited head and lace.

S. Quite hoppy scent.

T. Dull yet crisp taste. Has a kind of lager sourness to it. The hops don't jump out. Some nutty but nothing bold.

M. A balance, not much there though.

O. Forgettable.

A: The beer is clear reddish amber and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles on the surface and a thick ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Aromas of orange peel and wheat are present in the nose along with notes of hibiscus.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the hibiscus seems to be a bit more prominent and there are also some notes of malty sweetness. A slight amount of bitterness from the hops is discernible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The finish is slightly dry.
O: This beer seemed to be a bit too malty and sweet for the style and could have used some more hop bitterness. It’s definitely not as drinkable compared to the Blue Moon witbier.

Poured from bottle into pint glass

Appearance –Pours a deeper amber-golden color with a nice billowy off white head. The head fades relatively fast leaving a little bit of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The nose is quite light. Light caramel and toffee notes are the most prevalent. These are mixed with a little bit of citrus and some spiciness.

Taste – Carmel malt with a little bit of roastiness is the first detected. A little bit of sweeter orange citrus comes and mixes with the sweeter malt, although the citrus is quite light. A little bit of citrus bitterness moves in toward the end and takes the taste to its finish.

Mouthfeel – The body is light to moderate with a little bit of sharpness. The higher carbonation matches the sharpness well, but neither really complement the taste, and somewhat contend with one another.

Overall – This is a rather average brew. Of the Blue Moon varieties this one is likely on the lower end of the scale. It’s OK, but I would take other Blue Moon varieties over this one if given the chance.
