Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, "best by" date "OCT3017".

APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, light golden color with less than one-finger white head that quickly dissipated until a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, there if very little lacing on the glass, average carbonation.

SMELL: bread and honey, faint to the nose.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, sweet honey and bread.

PALATE: medium body and carbonation.

OVERALL: I got this as part of a sampler pack, this was my third favorite of the four varieties, this is not a bad beer but I would not seek it out again.

12 oz, bottle:

Pours golden with a thin white head that slowly dissipates. A little lacing.

The smell is of wheat cracker with a touch of honey.

The taste of honey is not overpowering. Cracker and wheat tang mixes with honey in the finish.

It has a crisp, light, refreshing feel.

It's a basic American Pale Wheat with some honey mixed in.
Not bad at all.

Pours hazy yellow with a thin head . Virtually no lacing on the drink down. You can definitely taste the honey in this one but for me that wasn't a good thing. I probably should have known better as I do like wheat ales but not this one.

12 oz bottle. It has just a hint of honey. Pours almost no head; pale hazy golden hue. Tastes like an inoffensive, bland wheat ale.

Got a chance to try a bottle of this for free recently, as I would NEVER spend my money on any Coors product. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle with a twist off cap into a pint glass, this beer pours a very clear light golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. Has a white head that's well over an inch thick when first poured that starts to settle to a solid 1/2 of an inch thick a few minutes after being poured. Has good retention. Aromas of some bready, caramel malt sweetness along with a definite bit of citrus tart and nice hints of honey. The taste is pretty much the same, with somewhat bready, caramel malt sweetness along with some wheat as well. This gives way to a citrusy, tart, slight hop presence with just a touch of bitterness that's rounded out with a definite honey sweetness. There's also unfortunately just a touch of an adjunct, somewhat metallic, slightly skunked, off-flavor. Its not that apparent, but its enough that my palate knows it is there. The citrus bitterness, honey, and metallic off-flavor all linger on the palate after each sip. Has a somewhat crisp, also smooth and frothy, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean, slightly dry finish. Far from the worst beer I've ever had from Coors, and not too bad of a beer actually overall. This would make a decent summer session ale, as it is very refreshing beer on this very warm spring night here in Cleveland. But unless I can get it for free again I won't be drinking it again.

Very clear golden, honey color with a very thin white head; has a citrusy, sweet smell with a tart, grainy aroma; very smooth with the honey flavor coming on later; not an overwhelming array of flavor but still refreshing and what you'd expect from a blue moon wheat ale as far as sweetness, citrus, and malts with a dry, honey ending; very predictable and not enough hops for a traditional pale ale; it's still a good summertime beer that's very drinkable and smooth and not overly filling!

Pours like honey color, is it luck? Well I can play my bass for you. . . is it luck? Anyways, lots of clarity, plenty of those yellow-golden-honey color vibes, 1/3" white head. Aroma of grain, mildly sweet.

Taste, more mild sweetness, carbonation in the mouth feel is high, body is light. Hopping is almost non existent. The honey isn't all that perceptible, seems to just be used to maybe ferment/dry the body out a little, but there is residual sweetness, I just dunno if its from the grain. Wheat also isn't bursting in this one, provides a little bit of a lighter body affair. You know where this one falls, its a gateway beer. No off flavors, nothing done poorly.

Blue Moon Brewing Co. "Summer Honey Wheat"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, coded "AUG1417" and sampled on APR2517
$1.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Look: Nearly fingerprint clear golden body beneath a frothy-then-creamy head of bright white. Oddly for a wheat beer the head retention and lacing are just average.

Smell: Clean and fresh. I'm not sure if it's honey I'm smelling, but I think it is - it's sweetish and fruity with some sweetish golden malt as well. Some mild floral hops round it out.

Taste: As the aroma suggests, sweetish golden malt is accentuated by a note of honey and threaded through with mild yeasty fruitiness that mainly expresses apple and floral hops. I thought it might be more wheat-like but it's not. A mild bitterness balances it, and although it's sweetish in the mouth it still manages to finish fairly dry.

Feel: Medium-light in body and crisp.

Overall: A very nicely balanced and polished honey beer that's both refreshing and easy to drink.
