Changed this rating based on the style. Need to do a better job of that.

Poured from a 24-oz. can into a pint glass at my house on Aug. 5, 2012 (picked it up for $2.19 at a 7/11 in San Diego, Calif., on Aug. 4, 2012). Two fingers of head that dissipated immediately. Pale, clear, watery color, almost dehydrated urine. No retention.

Smelled corn malts, bread, skunk, metallic, hay, cereal.

Tasted similar to the nose. Corn, bread, skunk, cereal, hay and even a bit of honey and caramel.

Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Refreshing and clean.

Surprisingly a lot better rating than I was expecting. Coors Light and Miller Lite have always been the beers I hate, but the rating didn’t come out too bad for an American Adjunct Lager.

Presentation: "The Silver Bullet" -- 24oz "grande" silver can with wide-mouth pour. Bottled on date located at the bottom of the can.

Appearance: A crystal clear, bright pale yellow liquid with not much of a head at all. In fact, it's nearly still.

Smell: Some very faint fruits, touch of sulfur and weak tea-like hop in the aroma.

Taste: Quite sweet, dextrin-like with an odd fruit punch and watery banana sweetness flavour that makes it difficult to believe that this is purely a malt beverage. Paired with a tight carbonation, there's a hop bitterness that follows. It's mildly lemon-like in character and creates a semi-puckering dry snap. Metallic flavours pull thru with a slight grain dryness towards the end. Both linger on the palate for sometime and intensifies, especially as the beer warms.

Notes: Why bother?

I love beer and I drink it every day. At (age) 62, carbs are an important factor. High carbs = high weight gain. Must keep the carbs at or below 5.5g/beer. I want to be treated right with a beer's alcohol content too, which is just as important to me as any other attribute. Coors Light is always an excellent choice for me. The aroma, flavor, after burp, 4.2 ABV and at 5g carbs Coors Light is a great beer. A straight shot about every three beers or so makes up for the slightly lower alcohol content. I love the flavor the aluminum can adds, but the flavor of Coors Light from the bottle is fine too. Adolf Coors (who became a proud American) went to a lot of trouble to find the right water with which to brew a great beer and I think he did. I think he'd be proud of Coors Light.

I see that this beer has been rated as awful. Hey, it's a light beer, what do you expect. That means it a watered down version of the regular beer. You usually drink it cause you're over weight or trying to lose some flab. With that in mind, it's not bad and you probably can drink several glasses and still be under your county's DWI minimum. If you want to drink a better beer, increase your activity, put the fork down and eat more salads.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think the low score is justified if we go with the strict definition of a light lager; unless light lager is meant to be a poor beer? Not sure.

But this beer meets all the standards as per the requirement: Low alcohol at 4%- Check. Light (with corn overtones) - Check. Little or no hop/malt flavours - Check. It initially pours a nice lace that dissipates fast enough as well as a clear, pale straw color with limited aromas of any kind. Ok, it's not an artisanal-craft beer attempting to wow anyone but I reckon it's not the purpose of this beer. The purpose is to kick back, enjoy and listen to the ball game if you get my drift.

Still. I enjoy this beer. The quintessential summer beer during and after a BBQ/yardwork or work out.

I think I have to give it a better rating than most here.

Growing up in a predominantly country town, this was a staple beer for many, and drank mostly by those who donned tight wranglers and cowboy hats and boots. Why, I don't know. Perhaps because you can down this like water easily on a hot day and it's inexpensive. I drank many a coors light until I discovered that yes, there is better. Much better.

Pours a standard straw yellow. Smell is almost non existent. Taste is a watered down subtle metallic grain. Mouthfeel is a thin carbonation.Finish is metallic, but clean.

The best description I've heard of this beer was as follows:

"If a nickel could urinate, it would urinate coors light"

ive drank 500 gallons, will drink 500 gallons more. this is a beer to cut your teeth on, to be a teenager with, to be outdoors with, to drink and drink and drink on long summer days with no water and find a decent forgiveness in the morning. this is the beer of smokey and the bandit, smokey runnin coolers of coors across old man river mississippi so all we east least can get a taste of the Rockies. this is the beer of Golden Colorado, Shelby County Tennessee, the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and every raging prom party worth a bucket of spit and a Kid Rock song. I drink it when the mountains turn BLUE.

I'm gonna be honest, there's not much more to life than sippin' on a Coors. The electric blue color that the can embraces when cold as the Rocky Mountains is not to be taken lightly: it's an invitation. However, she's a seductive mistress, as each savory and refreshing sip (or gulp) only serves to tantalize and bring the experience closer to climax. Fortunately, unlike some experiences, there's no waiting time in between rounds. And that's to everyone's benefit, as you'll need more than one to really appreciate the love that goes into each individual, hand-crafted can. Mr. Coors, you've got a fan in me.

Tastes like bitter water, but good bitter water. I give the feel rating a 4 only because after 4 it starts to feel good. My favorite kind of H2O. But far from my favorite kind of beer.

The colour is pale yellow, the liquid clear. The two finger head is compact and white; it sinks slowly leaving no lacing.

The smell is a bit stronger than I remembered. Sweet notes of cereals. Nothing else, really.

The taste starts with a sharp sweetness that gets smoother, passing notes of fresh baked bread. Light to medium body. The aftertaste is very sweet and clean with some bread and light syrup. Sweet bullion in the finish.

The carbonation is medium strong; the small bubbles smooth. The liquid is medium smooth.

A clean and … well, clean American light lager. Not very exciting but they sure know how to brew those beers.

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Very light blonde color with a hazy, carbonated look.

S: Smells like beer. Nothing unique stands out to give it any distinctness.

T: The taste of light beer. You have a hint of hops but with a light aftertaste. It is quite similar to Miller lite but taste a little more watery. Aftertaste doesn't stay with you too long.

M&D: It has a carbonated and thin feel to the mouth. A drinkable beer especially in the summer.

This is a beer I would drink for a light american lager.

Pours a crystal clear light, almost clear, yellow with a 1 inch fizzy white head that fades to nothing. No lacing at all. Smell is of grains and corn flakes. Taste is the same with the grains and corn flakes. There is a slightly metallic taste present as well. A high level of carbonation makes for a very crisp and clean mouthfeel. Overall, this is a below average but quite drinkable beer. Not too bad for what it is.

I don't normally drink light beer, but when I do I drink Coors Light. It's a good beer for summer days waterskiing on the lake when you want volume over taste and quality. It is a quality product that won't make you feel too horrible at the end of the day.

I enjoy beers such as Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.....Arrogant Bastard Ale.......High quality Oatmeal Stouts. But I also am not above enjoying an ice cold Coors Light from time-to-time. After a few hours of yard work in 90+ degree heat, stick 3 or 4 of these in the freezer just until ice crystals start to form and it really hits the spot. I pick up a sixer about once a month or so. My favorite of all the light lagers by far.

What more can you say about Coors Light other than it is one of the most bland, dull and boring beers ever made. Pale and bubbly like gingerale. No nose whatsoever....ok, maybe some corn and grainy notes. Taste is not only light and watery, it is also chalky and dry. The mouthfeel is bubbly and rough and the finish is dry.

This is a horrible beer. It is not even beer. Have it ice cold on a summer afternoon and it will go down like water. Less than a beer for the masses. A new low.

This Pilsner is so light, it seems to take on the taste of whichever vessel it is housed in. That is to say, drinking from a bottle vs a can vs a keg will produce a variety of flavors. I can think of almost no situations where I would choose a Coors Light, unless I it was down to Coors Light vs Bud Light. But in that situation I would probably just leave.

Had this beer in the can so I don't know if the bottled version is better. This is a very generic beer to my taste. Crisp and smooth with no yeast notes and no fruitiness. At most, you mainly taste malt. I believe this beer would make a great social beer because it has nothing that stands out about it, it's definitely not offensive in anyway. You could easily drink this beer while talking with friends. What I do enjoy about this beer is that it won't give you a headache or the sudden erge to sleep. Very drinkable but not my first choice.

Pale pale pinkish with thin head and little lacing. Little smell. Light malt flavor with the slightest hint of citrus. Clean enough, I guess. It really is basically water.

Ha, ha, ha. Okay, seriously?
So currently, I am going through a project of rating mass produced beer (and beer like beverages). I rated Bud Light recently, something I never drank before. I had Coors Light in my late teens and didn't like it. And here I go again.
The nose is of your average weasel piss variety, not quite as bad as Bud Light. The pour sounded like sparkling wine, with a display of a most awful colour.
The taste is an absolute joke. At least Bud Light had no flavour. This thing has something lingering in the background and I think it may be corn, but it's merely a distraction from the enjoyment of water.
If any of you drink this on a regular basis, just know that you are not drinking beer. There is nothing here to justify calling this drink a beer. And as far as I am concerned, this product should not be allowed to be marketed as beer. To say nothing about something as moronic as Cold Certified™ Technology. The focus should be on what is inside the can, not outside.
Shame on Coors for producing this and then asking money for it.

12 oz. can poured into a pint glass.

L---Very light golden color. Puffy head disappears quickly and leaves no lacing.

S---Slightly sweet, nothing much there except maybe some corn/grains.

T---So mild, it's nearly just water. Some corn & just the faintest bit of hops. Really nothing there.

F---Wet, like water. Very carbonated.

O---Just bad. If there's literally nothing else available, it'd be better than dehydrating, but that's not really supposed to be the purpose of beer.

Pours a clear, pale, yellow color with about a finger and a half of white head that fades to a light layer on the top. Smell is lightly corn, cracker, and a tiny bit of earthiness to it. Flavor is corn, sweet malt, tiny amount of bitterness and a little earth towards the finish. Medium light body, fairly crisp, clean finish. Decent light lager, I think there are better ones out there but one I wouldn't turn down at a party.

12 ounce bottle poured into a thick plastic glass. Color of straw/hay. Smell faint pine needles. Taste is clean with no bitterness or aftertaste. Mouthfeel is crisp, watery, refreshing. I am well aware that a lot of beer snobs scoff at the idea of drinking Coors and Coors light but quite frankly I really don't give a shit what they think. To each their own. Personally I like coors. It's reasonably priced and the low calories/abv is a plus in my book. After a long day on the ranch I would enjoy a "Silver Bullet" over some overpriced high gravity IPA made who knows where. I would give Coors Light a solid A. Oh and it has the same abv as my other favorite beer Shiner Bock

Imagine being such a snob you write a lengthy review talking about the mouthfeel of Coors light and the different notes in the taste.

Looks, smells, tastes, and feels like good ol' American beer. Pick up a case and crack some cold ones for 'merica.
