Poured into a pint glass revealing a half inch head that disappeared quickly. The smell was exactly as advertised, blackberry tart. The taste was not as advertised. More artificial sweetener and fake blackberry flavoring. And no tart component. The feel was no existent. Very flat and too much carbonation. Overall I was disappointed. Blue moon could have done much more with this beer.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle.

A: Pours a orangeish brown with a thin off-white head. Little retention and lacing.

S: Blackberry is definitely the dominant smell. There are also traces of other berries, dark fruits, and sweet malts.

T: Straight up blackberry. Seriously not much else. It tastes like a blackberry Smirnoff ice.

M: Feels like I'm drinking a wine cooler.

O: Not much to it. Too me it barely constitutes as beer.

Nice nose, but the taste is reminiscent of aspritame. This is not pleasant at all. Drain poured this.

The only thing this beer has going for it is its look and that is it.

Medium brown, showing red-orange in the light, with a just off-white top.

Given the Blue Moon line's reputation for artificial-tasting beers, this one is a nice break. Lush and fresh crushed blackberries on the nose along with some typical wit notes and a generic malty base.

Mostly dry on the palate with fresh, natural blackberry. The malt base is unremarkable--no real faults, but nothing special at all.

I doubt I'd buy it again, but I'd have no problem drinking it if offered to me.

Got this brew in a variety pack, never really tasted a beer like this before. It has a sweet mellow taste that tastes like blackberry's.
