This is an excellent store. Lots of selections on tap. Constantly changing variety. Can fill growlers and crowlers. Also have a new flavor injector for mixing flavors of your choice into draft beers. They have a weekly email with all their new beers releasing that week. It is a physically small store but ranks right up there with AJ’s.

Recommended by friend to check during recent visit to Rochester. Normally have always hit AJ’s or BOTW and happy to hear about a solid alternative. Great stop. Was very impressed by people as well as Beer.
Easy to find/Park. Comparatively small shop but plenty of wall and kiosk shelves and large matching wall coolers. Cold IPAs clearly prioritized.
Overall excellent very well curated selection.
Solid NYS and Rochester/Mid State selections that cater well to locals but are great for visitors like me. Throw in many excellent out of staters eg Pipeworks, Hopping Frog, Avery, FW, etc... even Burley Oak from my back yard. Nicely chosen internationals... loved the Thomas Hardy 2017 being there. Plenty of sours from around the world.
16 taps with great selections and both crowlers and growlers.
But all this great beer was matched by ownership ( met James this time) and customers... who were very friendly, passionate and very knowledgeable. The small shop vibe was very upbeat and personal. More like good friends helping each other...sharing ideas and recommendations. Loved this!
Won’t be back this way for a bit but will make this first stop anytime I’m in the area.

Really good selection of brews from the US, and a fair selection from Canada and abroad. Helpful service, and a good vibe for a small shop. Locals came in with positive feedback for the server during my short visit confirming this. I'm so glad I stopped here on my way back to Canada!

Stopped here for a quick visit on my way home.

Very clean and nicely organized. Watch some of the dates (particularly Great Lakes). A few things that i didn't see at Beers of the World including Hi-Res. The international section wasn't very expansive though but they had pretty much at least one or two beers of every American craft brewery available in the Rochester area.

Best staff around and the beer tastings are quite nice.
Shane knows his stuff for sure. Always enjoy stopping by and getting updates on what is coming next to the area.
The selection is somewhat limited due to the size of store , however do not let that stop you from checking the place out.Prices are in line with most other craft beer establishments in the Roch area. Can you find some of the beers cheaper elsewhere ? Probably but I go for the beers that you cant find at Wegmans .

Not sure what the previous poster was talking about, this store had a great vibe, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Store has only been open since October 2012 but these guys seem to have it down. Great selection for only 2 aisles of craft beer, much more variety than Wegmans. Great location as well on the west side, beats driving across town. Check it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

Atmosphere - not much to this place as far as vibe goes. It's in the middle of a plaza and has two aisles of beer, some of which are in a cooler

Quality&Selection - there is nothing here that is going to wow the craft beer drinker here. Typical Southern Tier, unibroue, Brooklyn selection that you can find almost anywhere in town. The prices tend to be $2-3 more expensive than elsewhere. They also had growlers for beers on tap available. They seemed to be expensive also.

Service - the guy working the front register seemed like he would much rather have been elsewhere and when engaged in conversation regarding the store's product, he gave half-assed, one word responses. Hey, buddy! If I am spending a few bucks at your establishment, at least act like you give a damn

Overall, you'd be better off going to Wegmans, Hegedorns or even (gulp!) BOTW for Monroe County.
