Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a respectable head; plenty of lacing is left behind

Smell: For what is advertised as a West Coast IPA, I am picking up a lot of malt in the aroma; nice balance between the bready malt and the citrus/pine

Taste: Opens bready, with the pine asserting itself in the middle; after the swallow, some citrus sneaks into the profile, but the pine is dominant

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A nicely balanced IPA, not really of the West Coast variety, but a good everyday drinker

Thanks, fredmugs, for the opportunity

No freshness date.

Hazy orange with a finger of foam on top, dripping with soapy lacing around the edges.

Citrus peel and pale malt in the aroma, fairly aromatic.

Orangey citrus sweetness, piney hop bitterness, light pale malt in the middle and some lingering bitterness of green botanicals in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, smooth feel. Pretty classic and easy drinking. Would pick this up again if I saw it.

Thanks to Howard for this one!

Nice clarity. Flavor is hoppy, but not obnoxiously so. Smooth and easy drinkin'. A crowd pleaser that aims at the right mark.

A - Nice amber color with a thick head subsiding to a hearty white lacing ring.

S - Citrus and pine resin on the nose.

T - Very resiny and peppery/spicy from start to finish with some slight warming on the way down. Orange rind, juicy grapefruit, and pineapple over top of a subdued caramel malt that's beat down by a very healthy amount of juicy, hoppy goodness. Finishes bittersweet with juicy red grapefruit and changes over to a nice bitter bite. There's a little bit of alcohol presence.

M - Smooth and gentle carbonation and leaves a very thick coating of resinous tropical fruit in the mouth. Semi-dry to dry finish.

O - This is fantastic IPA and grossly underrated thus so far (IMO). A definite try if you like juicy IPA's bursting with flavor.

Received as an extra in a trade and poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Poured a nice clear golden hue with a nice one finger white head that faded to leave light lacing and a thin blanket.

S - Aromas of malty sweetness, citrus, pine. For being a west coast ipa this is rather subtle and not nearly as in-your-face as I expected.

T - Taste is bready malts, nice pine resin and citrus but not too too bitter. Finish has the bitter hints but for the most part this is pine and malts.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, nice lingering bitterness.

O - Overall, a solid IPA. Would like the nose to be more assertive though!

Poured into a Dogfish traditional oversized snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a medium amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and some random splotches of bubbly surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a broken ring behind.

S- Nice dry-hop aroma of piney hops and just enough malt backing to balance.

T- The pineyness continues and there's some extra earthy quality to the hop flavor. Very easy to drink for the ABV and has a moderate bitterness.

M- Slightly sharp from the hops with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.

O- This is my first Daredevil beer and it's quite solid. Definitely on the more earthy side of the spectrum, but delivers good flavor and drinkability.

Malty, not much hops, very meh. Do not get the appeal of this beer.

Pretty boilerplate higher alpha, citrusy IPA: pretty pour. Smells of fruit aromas with light nodes of bread. Flavor profile has a grassy beginning that moves quickly into hop nodes and ends crisp and clean. It does an excellent job of belying its fairly high ABV.
