Appearance: Pours a hazy golden with a head of white lace.

Aroma: Tropical hops all over the place. Solid.

Taste: Bitter grapefruit, tropical, orange. There is a lingering bitterness or acidity here that’s a bit off-putting, and a slight warming at the finish. Solid, but not a favorite.

A - Very hazy, dark orange body, full white head and lots of lacing.

S - Pine, mint, a smattering of citrus notes, a touch of zest, and a definite burn from alcohol.

T - Front is the pine and mint, but quickly this is backgrounded, to be replaced with a Creamsicle middle, closing more bitter, with the zest and pith notes trailing out slowly.

F - For as big and burly this is, the feel is clean and light. The alcohol, apparent in the nose, is nowhere to be found when drinking.

O - A very nice DIPA, with lots of fine hop flavors, and strong malt core, and a surprisingly easy feel. Yep, this one is a keeper.

Aroma is muted grapefruit, pine, resin, and biscuity malt. Fairly grassy.

Flavor is very pine dominant, with a grapefruit zest background and a solid, bready malt backbone.

Lucky enough to find this on Tap at Finchs in Blomington. Poured into a tulip.

A: light copper / gold, pours with 1 finger of head that reduces slowly and leaves decent lacing.
S: strong citrus aroma, very resemblent of a west coast IPA.
T: loads of citrus hop flavor come through, with a strong enough malt backbone to fit the bill.
M: carbed well, leaves a slightly dry after taste.
O: one great brew that must be tried by any IPA fan who is able to find it. I'm a huge Daredevil fan, these guys have been doing it right from day 1 with Lift Off.

This deserves an update. I had this when it was first made and the owners would personally show up for tappings and hand out glassware. I wasn't really a fan of this beer and liked their single IPA Lift Off better. They changed the recipe after the initial roll out which made it better but not by a lot.

Last week the GF visited the brewery and brought me back 4 pack of cans. They have significantly upgraded the quality of this beer. The aroma is huge and the hop bite is fantastic. If I could knock it all I would say it needs a little more malt flavor.

Cold from the tap to a 12oz snifter @ the Tap during Bloomington Craft Beer Week. Cloudy honey'd gold with a 1/2 finger long lasting, off white head leaving lace to the rim after each sip.

Big floral hops aroma, sweet and long lasting.

Big bodied, smooth and creamy, floral, maybe even tropical hops up front and smooth honey sugars after, hiding the bitter bite.

Great beer, thumbs up to the daredevil guys !
