This pale ale features a refreshing résumé of bright citrus American hops harmonizing with a sugar cookie sweetness donated from Bohemian pilsner malt. The result is a crisp, glass-smooth ale worth repeating.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with white head. Citrus, light fruits, bread, and a nice light pine and grass note on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a very nice compliment of fruit balanced out by a cereal grain malt backbone.

Poured in a frozen pilsner glass at the Recovery Room in La Crosse, WI.
A- Dark golden color and lasting lacing.
S- Lots of fruit. Orange and mango lead.
T- Very sweet fruit and malt front with little bitterness. It starts out great but doesn't finish the way I'd like it to.
M- Watery is the first word that comes to mind. Could really use more carbonation and more bitterness.
O- Great start but it just can't finish. It's a beer I can drink but it's just not reaching it's full potential. I've come to expect more from Karben. Love the artwork as always though!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a growler on April 2, 2017. Look is orange gold with a thin white head and spotty lacing. Smell and taste is pine and lightly sweet malts. Feel is crisp.

I originally had this on tap in 2015. Time to see how it fairs in a bottle.
Poured 12oz bottle into a snifter. Golden apricot color with a nice 2 finger white head that fades slowly and leaves a good amount of lacing on my glass. Aromas of orange and grapefruit mingle with sweet mango and pineapple, with a touch of light caramel malt to round it out. The flavor builds on these bright fruity notes with the tropical hops and lightly sweet malts. The balance of sweet and bitter is really, really good. The body is fluid, light-medium weight, with a more than sufficient carbonation and it does finish dry. I think this is their best APA.
