The beer makes a fizzing sound while being poured. The liquid is deep amber with a tint of brown, the liquid clear. The two finger off-white uneven head slowly sinks down, leaving lots of lacing.
The smell got some malty flavours. It is quite dry with light fruity, bitter notes. Frowsy notes of old washcloth.
The taste is quite strong with quite a lot of alcohol and malt. Some bread-like flavours, hints of yeast and common mushrooms. Full body. Dried apples and oranges in the aftertaste. Dry notes of ripe fruits and matured cheddar in the finish.
The carbonation is strong, the many bubbles small. The liquid is dry.
A dry ale with strong flavours and full body.

Pours orange brown with a 2 cm tan head.
Aroma is a touch of roasted malt, red licorice, molasses, grass.
Mouthfeel is smooth and has medium-high carbonation.
Taste is bready malt, a bit of coffee, with a nice bitter finish. It's a bit metallic and musty.
A pretty average beer.

Once more risen from the dead.
Pours a very pretty dark copper red with an off-white head. No lacing.
Smells of coffee, roasted malts with only hints of hops.
Taste is complex, a dry feel with heavy malts. Only towards the end the hops shine through with a sting bitterness.
Mouthfeel is very smooth with a dry, bitter finish.

Second easterbeer sampled 2008.
A: Dark reddish color that is almost copperlike. A small beige head with a creamy lace can be seen.
S: Chocolate, Roasted malt, fudge, fruits.
T: Licorice, Chocolate, Nuts, Pine, Earth.
M: Good balance with a very dry and bitter finish.
D: Very well balanced with plenty of carbonation. An easy drink.
Another good brew from Jämtlands Bryggeri but it feels slightly below their normal quality. Still, this beer goes down easy and tasted pretty damned good. Worth a try!
