A-Pours an orange-ish hue. Small sample limits the head but there is a full, white cap of foam atop the beer's body.

S-Aroma is crisp and wheaty. Some rye spiciness. Pleasant yeastiness. A bit of grassy hops lingering around as well.

T-Flavor stresses wheat and rye in my opinion. It also finishes very wheaty. The spice of the rye and the tang of the yeast work well. Little bits of grassiness pop up as well. A well balanced Saison.

M-Really enjoyed the finish. The carbonation and body are both medium. Lingering aftertaste.

O/D-A pleasant sample. Probably wouldn't go for a full growler but I found it to be rather memorable.

The beer pours a decent white and creamy head that dissipates a bit quickly (growler was nearly a week old). The beer itself is an unquestionably copper color. Leaves some nice lacing behind. The beer smell has very strong rye notes. The earthy hops are also noticeable but not as strong as the rye smells and mix well. The taste is very interesting with a strong rye presence that gives it a smoky taste as well. The hops are also earthy but are not very prominent. The mouthfeel is very smooth with biting carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Overall, this is a pretty good saison variant but could use a little less rye or at least stronger hops to make it even better.
