Part of our Small Bird series of seasonal, sessionable pale ales, Pocket Pigeon features malted spelt and a large dosing of Mosaic, Galaxy, and Columbus hops. Deep gold in color with a heavy haze and bright white head, Pocket Pigeon emits aromas of freshly squeezed orange juice, tart pineapple, and spicy hops. Light in body with a delicate mouthfeel, this beer ends bone dry with a lasting, lemon pith bitterness.

Poured a bit hazy/cloudy. Aroma of tropics. Really fluffy and persistent head. Taste is fruity with some pine notes. Finished dry and lemony. Sort of a middle of the road American ale.

Lighter in ABV than a traditional IPA but (from my perspective) make no mistake - this is a NEIPA. Or NEAPA if there is such a thing.
Orange and guava juice in a glass. Hazy for sure and perhaps even murky.
Aroma is a tropical fruit smoothie punch - mango, guava, pineapple. More pungent than dank.
Juicy, as is the NEIPA hallmark. A little pine and light bitterness. Thick for the ABV.

canned on 7/11/18.
Appearance; Pours out a hazy golden orange body with wispy and short lasting bone white head.
Smell: this hoppy beer smell just like pineapple orange juice with just a hint of dankness.
Taste: light bitterness and dankness. hint of sweet oranges and pineapples. Trillium house yeast. Weird flavor of seltzer water; a flavor that I have never tasted in a hoppy beer before. The flavor of seltzer water is distinct and I have full confidence that is what I am tasting. Luckily it does not distract too much from the hop profile, but its certainly notable.
Mouthfeel: Its a little bit thin for trillium, but it still drinks nicely. light body. medium carbonation levels / adequate carbonation. Slightly dry and crisp / clean finish. Not as creamy or juicy as most hoppy beers from trillium.
Overall: Solid APA. Trillium could do slightly better with this. It could also be because the beer is 1 month and a few weeks old. Who knows. Would still drink a can again if it showed up in my hand. Its better than most APA's out there.

Pours a medium orange gold color, cloudy with a one finger bone white head.
Aroma is pungent and sharp with some earthy/grassy notes along with some general citrus.
Taste follows the smell with tangerine flavor up front while the earthy notes kick in midway through (very faint though), finishing with a slight tart citrus flavor. Taste is very clean and inviting. Very refreshing. I don't get the pineapple they say in the description though.
Feel is soft and seltzery, especially in the finish. very low bitterness.
This is a great beer from the bird series. What marks it is a light, clean taste that is full and rich - a tough combination to pull off but done masterfully here.
