The beer pours a decent clean white head that dissipates surprisingly quickly. The beer itself is an opaque orange. The orange is a darker hue than normal but pretty good. The smell has strong floral notes and strong yeast notes with a deep orangey sweetness. The taste is similar to the smell but that the stronger hop notes are an orange flavor with a bit of the yeast flavor getting lost. The taste also some floral notes are weaker than the orange ones. The same sweetness is in the taste like the smell. Tickling carbonation and medium bodied. Overall, a pretty good and very sweet saison that leans more towards the IPA style than it does the saison.

Reviewed from written notes taken at The Dive Bar, Worcester MA last Friday. Always nice to see Trillium on the lines at local bars, seem to be very solid so far.

A- Hazy golden yellow pour tap to a pint glass. Frothy white pillow forms atop the beer to about one finger. Head retention is decent as a puffy ring and some islands form from it's fall. Sheets of lace at the top with clouds of thin lace at the bottom.

S- Hops lead the aroma with notes in the juicy fruity spectrum. Bouquet of stone fruits, tropical fruits, citrus and a spiciness either from hops or yeast. Some dankness.

T- More yeast influence here and it combines with the hops making it hard to tell where each flavor may originate. Balanced concoction of stone fruits, orange zest, fruity esters, apricot, spicy, floral and tropical notes. Belgian yeast assertive.

MF- Fairly light end body and fairly dry as Belgian yeasts generally are. Moderate carbonation and a creamy texture results from it. Medium bitterness in the finish.

Fruity hops with a nice Belgian yeast profile. I have enjoyed homebrewing a lot of hoppy Belgian style ales and it seems like they are a growing style of beer which makes me happy. Good use of both hops and yeast which meld to create a smooth refreshing brew.
