Pours cloudy opaque gold with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like fresh apricots, orange citrus, grapefruit, peach, mango, passionfruit, guava, some sweet bready malts, with green earthy herbal grass and spicy resinous pine. The beer comes in a hazy medium gold.

The aroma hits of floral, great call on the lemon and toasted malt, almost like lemon cleaner.

The flavor offers more grass and tons of citrus essence with the peel and all, instead of being overly juicy. Trilll notes as spot on as usual.

I bought a half growler of this last week from the brewery. I am so glad Trillium is in Boston - tired of driving hours to get to a great small brewer. I am committing a foul, in that I had this beer a few days ago, but I want to note how good this beer was. It hits you as a very solid pale ale of course, but it seems to be bordering on IPA level with its bitterness. I was so surprised to see a 4.7 doesn't seem that way. Session beers are the rage - I would call this a go-to for me from now on. Well done

Trillium is doing some great things, and this beer is no exception. (Their DIPA, Mettle, is as good or better than any beer - including Heady, Double Sunshine etc. - that I have had, and Sprang is just remarkable). This brewery continues to brew judiciously and this beer is no exception. I had it with a dozen oysters and the freshness was outstanding. It had the perfect bitterness and fruity aroma. This beer was head and shoulders better than the recent releases of A Street IPA and Treecreeper.

This beer was poured from a growler bought at Trillium Brewery today. I believe the beer was produced in the last week. It was dry hopped with Columbus and Simcoe, listed at 4.8% ABV.

Pours hazy, orange-brown in color with1/2 inch head. Taste is big cracker, bread, and light apricot. Light bodied and slightly sweet. Compared to the Trillium IPAs I have had, this one is much more light and the flavors are a bit more subtle. Excellent sessionable beer. Will look for this again.

Pours a lightly cloudy gold color with a one finger off white head. Aroma is a light citrus, nothing too prominent. Taste is more than smell with a great citrus flavor, more grapefruit and unripe orange. This continues to the finish. Feel is soft and very effervescent. Bitterness is very low.

This is a great pale ale with a delicate yet powerful flavor.

This one pours a very orange with a small head and not much lacing.

This smells like orange peel, with orange creamsicle, lemon, and grapefruit.

There's no malt here- just delicate hopping- lots of fleshy orange and grapefruit, with grassy goodness and fruit cup water.

This is light bodied, kinda watery with a really good drinkability.

The small bird series is interesting but not one of my favorites from these guys.

The beer pours a slight decent foamywhite head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is hazy and orange. The beer smell has strong orange and floral hop notes with a hint of oatmeal sweetness that reminds me a bit of raspberries when combined with the rye notes. The beer itself has strong orange and floral hop notes with a raspberry sweet aftertaste from the oatmeal and rye. The rye is fairly subtle and acts more to work with the oatmeal than anything else. The mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and smooth with a light body but on the heavy side. Overall, a pretty good and unique pale ale that hits the spot on a warm night.

Lemon, orange, some pineapple and tangerine. Large, dry cracker malt profile. Maybe a hint of Pilsner malt flavor. Light bodied, fairly bitter and short finish. Lower level of sweetness. Pretty solid session.

A hazy lemon color with a creamy head of 3 fingers, gradually receding to a layer of thick cream.

Aromas of orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and lactose.

Flavor starts with an "itty bitty" amount of cracker, then seltzer, and the fruit comes on the back end with tangelo, mango, grapefruit, and orange rind. Slight mint, slight pepper. Finish is grassy.

Feel is crisp and smooth, with a slight resinous character on the finish. Strongest suit, and very good for this since sessionability is what a regular old pale ale is all about.

Overall, my only major complaint is that this beer comes off a bit watery in the flavor department. It's still really good beer, but for Trillium it's on their lower end of their line.

Can dated 9/30.

Pours turbid yellow with minimal head and retention. Aromatics are mildly tropical and hoppy. Shades of grapefruit and flaked oats. Light bodied and crispish. Grapefruit and zesty pith on the palate. Bone dry with a hint of toasted bread ends.
Finishes with a firm bitterness and fruit pith.

Tasty pale ale but the hops are a bit one dimensional.

64 oz growler was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a yellow orange with no clarity, but vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Citrus, some lemon, grassy, and herbal hops followed by biscuity, wheaty, bready, toasted, chewy, pale, and caramel malts.

Taste: Nice and subtle hop flavor followed by toasted, pale, and chewy chewy malts. Light bitterness in the rear too.

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, refreshing, a tad chewy, light bitterness, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Another solid offering from the little bird series. While I have liked others more, this one is still a little tasty treat.

Pours a lightly hazy pale straw in color with a finger of white head. Aroma is mostly citrus with tangerine, orange, and a hint of lemon. Taste hits the same citrus notes but adds some tropical juiciness with mango. Decent mouthfeel, light-ish body. Overall a solid beer, good amount of flavor packed into a 5% pale ale.

Can shared at the holiday party, thanks!
Slightly hazy deep yellow in color with a moderate off white head. Light apricot earthy and pine with a solid toasty light bready maltiness. Everyone ignored this beer on the table, but I really enjoyed it!

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass. Thanks Steve for getting this for me.

Pours a hazy orange body with a nice fluffy white head that reduces to a layer of foam and leaves good lacing.

Aromas of oranges, light citrus, pine. Tastes light, not too much going on, seems watered down. Orange, citrus, finishes with peppery zest and a touch of bitterness. Easy drinker but a little watery, medium carbonation.

Not bad.. but not up the Trillium standards.

A - Pours a hazy golden orange with a two finger fizzy white head. The head dissapates quickly leaving a good amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is lemon, grapefruit zest and cracker malts.

T - The taste is orange peel, grapefruit, lemon, cracker malts and light piney hops.

M - Medium/light body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

O - This is a APA. The flavors are light and refreshing. Definetly a crushable beer.

Light fizzy head, little lacing, murky pale orange color.

Nose tons of fruit, tropical orange tangerine, peach apricot, papaya, little melon and faint citrus lemon zest, little sweet cracker malt wheat.

Taste brings toasted wheat, little cracker, then spicy hop, plenty of rind, citrus, juicy apricot, stone fruit, little pine like spicy, melon rind, lemon zest, then cracker creamy wheat kicks in again and takes over the hops. Dry wheat finish, little grainy, touch stone fruit and citrus rind lingering.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, touch creamy , decent but lighter carb.

Overall not bad, hops are nice but wheat dominated a bit too much.

Poured into a tulip, freshly canned today. Looks decent, the head dissipates a little quickly. Orangey-yellow and cloudy. Not a ton to smell, more malt than allot of other trilliums, Just an okay mouthfeel. A little pepper lemon and apricot, then malt, then hops. Overall, good to very good, a little different than the usual Trillium offerings a nice change.

Poured from a can into an IPA glass a hazy straw color with just over a fingers worth of head. The nose is lemon and toasted malt as advertised, maybe a hint of apricot. The flavor is a lot of citrus bitterness, some pepper, and little bread. The feel is crisp, medium, and full of carbonation. This is a great APA, maybe not the best by Trillium but would be the star in a lot of other lineups.

Thanks for the can Kevin!

A- Very cloudy pour from the tallboy into a chalice. On the top of the brew a creamy white cap forms to about one finger high with decent retention. The medium ring at the edges drops a few wide sheets of lacing and random spots.

S- Tangerine off the top with notes of tropical, citrus and stone fruits beyond that. Orange, mango and lemons come to mind. Really not much to speak of besides the hops with a hint of cereal grains.

T- Loses a bit of steam from the aroma coming off as a bit muddled in the end. The focus shifts to bitter oranges, grapefruit and tangerine with subdued tropical fruits, floral, pine and herbal hops rounding out the hop bouquet. Cereal grains, bread, whole wheat, cracker and light sweetness.

MF- Puffy and foamy body that lacks a fully smooth and creamy feel that goes so well in the style. Medium-high carbonation and a clean bitter finish.

Good but not one of Trillium's best. Things just seem a bit muddled and the body is not nearly as smooth as some of their other hop beasts.

pours a completely murked out yellow, barely any head. smell was very crackery and bready, with some slight citrus over it. taste was a lot heavier on the sweet citrus, with a crackery back end. the mouthfeel is what threw me off a bit: it was almost so velvety that it was somewhat gritty. hard to explain but I feel this beer should be a little cleaner. nonetheless a decent one from trillium, though they have made MUCH better.
