Notes:
Once again, we partner with Barrington Coffee Roasters to brew Night & Day. In order to reach the higher gravity and fuller-body of this massive imperial stout we employ a reiterated mash technique that allows us to create an unusually rich, high gravity, 100% malt wort. Pouring raven-black with a persistent creamy pale-brown head, Night & Day is seductive with aromatics of roasted dark malt, espresso, caramel, cocoa powder, dark fruit, charred toast, and subtle sweet vanilla. At a soul-warming ABV of 11.5%, this bold, imperial stout drinks velvety smooth with mellow bitterness, silky carbonation, and balanced flavors of dark roast coffee, chocolate, figs, affogato and black cherry.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, C-60, C-120, Black (Patent), Dextrine, Caramunich, Roasted Barley, Special B, Pale Chocolate, Turbinado Sugar

Dark black pour with a smell of dark chocolate malt. Not much coffee that I get from this. Flavors are rich and decadent, but smooth given the big ABV. A nice stout from Trillium, and a great bottleshare.

Growler filled a few days ago at Armsby Abbey now that they do growlers to take away given the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pours a small fizzy dark head with low retention, a touch of lacing but nice long legs, inky dark black color
Nose brings lots of fresh nutty coffee up front, a bit roasty and a touch of char, quite nutty, some cocoa and dark chocolate, hint of baking spice and maybe licorice and vanilla, light nougat and caramel, coffee dominates most of it
Taste brings more rich coffee up front, big roasty coffee and a little char but not acrid, a dark roasty coffee that hints at espresso and adds some bitterness of its own, I don't think it was cold brewed and added I think the roasted beans were thrown in the secondary, a bit nutty again, slight earthy roast and hop characters, thick fudgey dark chocolate and more baking spice licorice notes but not much, a bit of the vanilla as well, a little caramel and more nougat characters, some tingly alcohol flavor, lush and creamy as well, deep fudge and coffee lingering, mild sticky finish
Mouth is full bod rich creamy lush, almost chewy, fair warming tingly alcohol, med carb
Overall not bad, nice base imperial stout and blends nicely with the coffee, I know I usually avoid this brewery due to all the negative press they get (and I know most of it is legit cause I hear stories from inside the industry), but it's good to try their beers again now and then cause they can make some great ones.

Pours jet black. There was actually a brown 1 finger head, but it didn't last long at all. Very thick pouring beer.
The nose is really deep and rich with the coffee. I do get a hint of chocolate and a whiff of vanilla, but the coffee is the main star of the show.
Taste - Started drinking at 50 F - up front a bit of vanilla and chocolate. Those flavors are mild. The backside the coffee really kicks in for me, and doesn't let go, but then the vanilla also kicks in again with a bit more vigor.
Very thick beer. I wouldn't have had a clue it was almost 13%, because there's no burn or alcohol warming at all. Very smooth.
Damn rich, and solid beer. Just rocks it out of the park .

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a thin tan head that left lots of wisps of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of cold brew coffee and espresso beans with just a light amount of bitterness. There are hints of sugary sweetness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is all about the coffee in both the smell and the taste. It would make for a very good selection for an early morning tailgating beer. It's like a malty and sweet version of a cold brew coffee. This particular version is 12.7% abv and you don't get any of the alcohol in the taste.

L — Near pitch black body with a sudsy light brown head produced with aerated pour. Zero retention and minimal lacing
S — Coffee ice cream, rich nuttiness, milk chocolate, fig, booze, hint of toffee
T — Sugar-dusted dried dark fruit, rich fudge, cold brew dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, ash. Booze is hidden quite well
F — Medium+ mouthfeel, medium carb. Surprisingly thin and lacking in velvety qualities given the ABV and style. Nevertheless the lack of perceivable booze makes it quite drinkable
O — Not too different from PM Dawn imo, just turned up a notch (including price)

This one pours a very dark black, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like roasty and bold espresso, chocolate, raisin, light smoke, vanilla, and black cherry.
This is unbelievably rich and delicious. The coffee flavor on this is so good- rich, roasty slightly fruity, very fruity, and just "bright" all around. There's some vanilla and caramel sweetness, too, with roasted malt, very light smoke, and chocolate fudge.
This is super thick and creamy, but with a high level of drinkability. There's a lower level of carbonation.
If Trillium makes a coffee stout, you shouldn't miss it, period. This is great.

On draft at Trillium Canton.
Pours black with tan foam and a good amount of sticky lace retention.
Lots of chocolate on the nose, the coffee is a little more subtle but clearly present. Creamy and roasty, good balance.
Body is awesome, creamy medium thickness. Sticky finish. Awesome mouthfeel.
