Notes: Same distinctive grain bill as the other "Street" IPA's, but heavily dry hopped with Simcoe. Our treatment of Simcoe results in beautifully balanced aromatics and provides a satisfying depth of hop-driven flavor. Summer Street IPA bursts with scents of spicy pine, lemon, and grape juice while focused flavors of citrus, pear, and essence of pine wash over the palate. Finish is dry with moderate, resinous bitterness.

Excellent New England juicy IPA. My only mistake was having double dry hopped Summer Street before this base model. While DDH Summer Street is extraordinary, this is a solid, enjoyable beer from it's hazy golden color, to its light and satisfying series of flavor stages.

Dated 5/8/18 on the bottom of the can, 12 days since brewing.

Pours a very hazy deep gold in the glass with two fingers of bubbly white head. Nose starts off with spicy floral notes then follows with pine, baked pear, dank wet earth, ruby grapefruit rind, lemongrass, pinot grigio and a pale biscuity malt. I get sort of a cocktail vibe from this one. Taste exactly matches the nose, but just a hint less vibrant. I get all the same notes ending in a lingering biscuit malt. Body is a smooth medium, incredibly easy drinking. Low drying with a medium- bitterness. No inclination of alcohol or anything negative. Great blend of flavors in a smooth easy drinking IPA. Not one to miss out on.

Poured to a BrewDog stemmed glass.

A: The body is bright yellow to orange. The head is two fingers thick showing medium to low retention. No lacing.
S: The aroma is citrusy and tropical, having giant hints of orange and tangerine with a bit of mango in the back. Great aroma.
T: The taste starts off very very lightly with a orange taste and keeps growing and growing towards a more green and resinous end of hoppy flavour. It's very straightforward, no big complexity, just very enjoyable and also one of the most "crunchy" and juicier beers I've ever had.
M: Body is medium to high. Carbonation is perfect. Bitterness is high to medium - it was canned back in May. No alcohol noticed. Great stuff here.
O: Trillium is one of the best breweries in the world. Period.

16oz can dated 5/24/17.

Pours murky gold with a moderate head and retention. Candied peach on the nose with undertones of cotton candy and white grapes. Medium bodied with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Sugar-dusted peach with grapes and ripe tropical fruit on the palate. Zero malt and quite dry sans the sweet fruit notes. Finishes with minimal bitterness and lingering peach.

Great beer! A little sweeter than what I'm used to from Trillium but I love the Simcoe blast.

Pours a hazy orange with two fingers of white head. Good retention, with no lacing left behind. Aroma is citrus, orange peel, lemon zest, lemon grass, with a kiss of tropical hops in the back. Flavor profile is orange peel, lemon zest, lemongrass, and tropical hops. Biscuit malts are there, but only in the distant background. Mouth feel is smooth, with a velvety texture. It has a medium thickness. Overall, heavy citrus notes, but in a smooth package. Active malt notes in the flavor profile keep this NE IPA drinking extremely smooth.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

Poured 5/17/17 from a 64oz growler that was filled at the brewery on 5/15/17, into a mug glass.

A: The beer is a deep cloudy orange/gold color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong fruity citrus, strong piney and dank hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a strong piney and dank hops bitterness that is quickly followed by a strong fruity citrus sweetness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean for the style.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, good kick, very good representation of style, this is an excellent IPA to drink for a long time.

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass on 5/14 (11 days after the release). Appearance is a hazy yellow orange, almost like darker orange juice. Smell is citrus (tangerine, orange pulp) with pine, oats, and lemon. There is a hint of caramel sweetness. Taste follows the nose with really clean citrus flavors (almost pureed orange) and a good balance of pine. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy up front (medium body) with a good amount of carbonation coming through on the mid palate and finish.

Overall, this is another excellent IPA from Trillium highlighting citrus and pine hop flavors (Simcoe hop). There is just enough sweetness to balance it all together. It has a good hazy body yet is extremely drinkable. I had built it up in my mind, but this beer exceeded expectations.

Pours hazy, orange-gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, pineapple, and white grape juice. Slightly sweet, medium-bodied with low carbonation. This one is a lot more subtle than other Trillium beers. Layers of gentle fruit unravel. Great tasting beer. Certainly in the upper quarter of Trillium beers I have had.

Poured into my favorite Lost Abbey long stim tulip glass canned on 3/23/17. Pours a very hazy dark yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves behind plenty of webs of lace.

Smell is papaya, guava, passion fruit, tangerine, pinapple juice, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical upfront guava, papaya, passion fruit, tangerine, pinapple juice, and a healthy shot of grapefruit in the bold and slightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is a little bigger than medium, actually sticky from all the fresh hops, moderate carbonation, not dry but very lush and juicy, and incredible drinkability.

Overall this is a treat, lives up to all the the hype and this brewery is getting plenty of it. Thanks @TheIPAHunter for this amazing IPA.

A pint can dated 01/30/17 received in a generous box from fellow BA jhavs poured in a 13oz. tulip.

Look- Pours a fresh squeezed orange juice color leaving a baby finger of creamy off white foam. It rapidly settles revealing some sparse lacing.

Smell- Fresh grapefruit, pineapple, orange zest and a touch of floral. Smells like pineapple/grapefruit juice for the most part.

Taste- Bitter grapefruit flesh, orange zest, pineapple and guava. There's a slight hint of floral and grass in the finish.

Feel- Thin and slightly creamy with a bitter mildly acidic dry finish.

Overall- Another juicy world class beer from one of the masters of the style. This could pass for grapefruit juice with a splash of pineapple instead of anything related to beer. Yeah, it's that juicy! Thanks Jon for sending this gem my way.

A hazy glass of orange juice with an aroma that explodes with oranges and grapefruit pith. There is also a nice pine scent that is complimentary and not overpowering. The taste is a nice, malty sweetness with tons of citrus flesh and pith with a nice striking bitterness at the end that cleans it all up. This is really a fantastic beer.

Had this on 2016-12-06 in Columbia, PA from a 16oz can, with a canned date of 2016-11-17, so this is about 3 weeks old.

A - Cloudy golden-orange with a 1.5-finger white head and very good lace.

S - Smells like a mix of an orange grove and a pine forest. There's also some pineapple, mild grass and spicy but not dank hop essence. Enticing.

T - Lots of dank and gooey complex hop flavors initially. It's just swarming with hop character. In addition to the dank flavor, there's orange (but less than in the aroma), grapefruit flesh, pine, grass, herbal, pepper and light melon. The finish is bitter but within reason.

M - Medium body and carbonation. Soft feel at first then resinous, prickly and quite dry.

O - If you're looking for an explosive hop experience with grassy/herbal/fruit flavors but little malt; this should be on your must-get-list. I thoroughly enjoyed this fine brew.

L: Gorgeous golden haze with half inch head. Assuming soft carbonation so not expecting more.
S: Grapefruit and spicy pine. One of the best aromas I have ever been priviledged too but not jumping out of the glass..
T: Tangerine, pineapple, orange peel. Very nice but sweet.
F: So soft and smooth. Want to say "so fresh and so clean," if it applied. Fantastic.
O: This is incredible. I feel lucky to have it. You should to.

Overall a great beer by Trillium. Beautiful golden orange. Quite hazy. Not as much head built up as I hoped and didn't last as long as expected either (possibly a downside to the soft carbonation that pair so well with this style of IPA). Aroma is a little subtle but when you get your nose in there it is fantastic. Pine, citrus, grassy notes. Similar hop notes in the flavor but a bit sweeter than expected. Would prefer a little more dry. Great mouthfeel. Overall great beer.

Hazy, bright ripe peach color with off-white head. Aroma has floral, grassy notes with a touch of grains. Taste starts slightly sweet and fruity with lots of citrusy hops. Finishes with medium to low bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Really tasty and extremely drinkable for 7.2 ABV.

Poured a very hazy golden orange color with two fingers worth of bubbly head. The smell is orange up front with some pine a spice following. The flavor is much spicier than the nose leads on but it's balanced well with the pine and citrus from the hops. The more you drink the better the flavors meld and more of the hop flavors take over and remind you what type of beer you are drinking. The feel is medium with decent carbonation and dry finish. I've only had 4 beers from Trillium but each one has been superb!

Poured out as a hazy yellow color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer is citrusy, mostly getting some lemon notes and some orange. Poured from a 16oz can into Trillium glass, cuz I'm cool like that.

Appearance: suuuuuuuuuuper hazy and turbid in body, with a vibrant orange body. Carries a thick, purely white head that lingers for a few minutes, leaving super sticky lacing once it dissipates. This is an excellent looking beer.

Aroma: orange flesh, some orange rind, even a touch of spice in there. Semi-piny on the end of the sniff, creating a dank fruity profile on the whole.

Taste: much spicier than other Trillium beers I've had, the pine and spice in this brew is heavy. Some Simcoe beers I've had go heavy on the pine and sweetness, but the hops in this beer are nicely balanced with the Columbus, making it spicy and dank, but still pungent with fruit and soft as can be.

Feel: crisp, but with a soft, creamy finish. Mild stickiness.

Overall: delicious, delicious beer. Trillium is a brewery that can do no wrong, it seems.

750ml brown bottle, sample purchased from Gordon's Wines in downtown Boston, MA.

Bottling date was hard to read if it was indeed one. A good amount of sediment on the bottom of the bottle was left behind during the pouring. I'm under the assumption that the package store has had this bottle for at least a couple of weeks so thanks for the extra cold conditioning. Some chill haze in this bright pale golden hued brew, lacing does a great job sticking to the glass. Smells of pine cones, lime leafs, lemon zest, and white tea. Moderate sized body with some smoothness. Citrus rind, dragon fruit, fresh hay, and a chalkiness on the palate. Hint of rose water and spruce in the middle. Clean esters and a healthy hop bitterness remind me this is an IPA. A most excellent brew, would love to revisit this beer again.
