Double Dry Hopped A Street IPADouble Dry Hopped A Street IPA
Notes: Same base grist as A Street IPA, but with a double dose of Amarillo in the dry hop. These Amarillo hops impart a powerful floral aroma with distinctive notes of citrus zest. The taste is bright, floral, and citrusy upfront, finishing with candied grapefruit and orange. As with all Trillium “Street” IPA’s, Double Dry Hopped A Street is dry with medium-light body and a crisp finish.

16 oz. can dated 10/18/16

Pours turbid dark gold with a lasting creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like huge grapefruit, orange citrus, mango, pineapple, fresh melon, caramelized bready grain, with dank resinous pine and floral earthy herbal grass. Tastes like fresh whole orange, grapefruit, citrus rind, mango, pineapple, melon, caramelized bready grain, with dank spicy resinous pine and floral earthy herbal grass. Feels medium-full bodied, creamy and smooth with low tingling carbonation. Overall a really nice, super hoppy citrusy double dry hopped IPA.

16oz can in an IPA glass.

It has the hazy creamsicle color that I like. This beer wasn't within 100 miles of a filter. The 1F white cap leaves some light sticky foam and a nice ring after the settle.

Floral and citrus aromas fill the room upon the pour. Up close, there's candied orange and more citrus fruit.

Floral hops and light malt. There's some soft earthiness in the malt, dry and lightly toasted. Lemon and grapefruit, sugary at that, mix in.

Light body, ultra-smooth. Hoppy bite, not bitter. Very subtle note of alcohol, at most. Lingering freshness. It's not a "sweet" beer by any means, but there's no denying the grains of sugar.

I like the blend here.

On tap at the brewery.

Pours a hazy, deep orange color with a finger of pure white head. Pretty good retention and leaves a fair bit of lacing.

The aroma is incredibly floral, like walking into a flower shop. There's a good amount of peaches and orange juice, as well as some mangoes. Subtly piney on the back end.

The flavor brings loads of peach, with some more subtle orange and grapefruit. Finishes bitter and piney.

The feel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Extremely dry on the finish.

Overall, a very good IPA that is both floral and fruity. This one needs a few weeks in the can to mellow out a bit, however.
