Notes / Commercial Description:
We present the highly sessionable Idaho-7 Pale Ale; a light bodied easy drinker featuring a new aromatic hop variety cultivated in- you guessed it- Idaho. Clocking in at under 5% ABV, this brew is crafted for warm weather, lazy days, and late nights. Hop-driven aromas of lemon, apricot, and white grapes take the lead with similar flavors following through on the palate. Slightly grainy, yet refreshingly dry with a hint of pithy citrus on the finish.

This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Grape must, light strawberry, orange rind, a little spruce and peach flavors capped by a pleasant bitterness. Easy drinking, crisp, citrusy. Saturated with hops, it has the classic Trillium mouthfeel scaled down to match the ABV. Hard not to compare with the 4.5% Whirlpool which, in my opinion, wins out. Solid beer but finishes a little thin and dry.

L - Standard New England murky body. Pale yellow in color with half a finger of bright white head.

S - Lemon, doughy malts, wheat.

T - Lots of tart, refreshing lemon, Subtle white grape skin, bready malts, multi-grain bread.

F - Light body, but not thinned out. Noticeably dry, but refreshing at the same time. truly sessionable.

O - Straightforward pale ale with lots of drinkability despite the dryness.

Light and sessionable, this APA would be great on a hot humid day after mowing the yard. It's not the "oh wow" that you get from other Trillium products but certainly better than most of its style. It's very limited and I don't think they'll be bringing it back any time soon. I'm glad I tried it but probably wouldn't get it again as their other offerings are superior in every way. If I want a session beer, I'd rather have 12 oz cans and this is growler only.

Pours a pale yellow straw in color with a finger of frothy white head that rapidly disappears. Aroma is lemony and slightly grainy with some peaches and apricots. Taste has more pronounced lemony and grainy notes. Finish is clean but with a moderate bitterness. Decent mouthfeel, light-medium in body with low-moderate carbonation. Overall a good beer. I like the balance of complexity and drinkability at the 4.5% ABV.
