In another exciting collaborative effort with our neighbors at Barrington Coffee Roasters, we bring you a bold American stout infused with cold-brewed coffee. PM Dawn exhibits an earthy, freshly roasted coffee bean and dark chocolate/mocha nose. The flavor profile consists of vanilla, hot chocolate, and caramel along with rich espresso. With a medium to heavy body, luscious mouthfeel, and light bitterness, PM Dawn is balanced and full, smooth with a drying roast character.

Poured into a Wicked Weed snifter. Bottom of can says 01/11/17.

A- Pours a fully opaque black color with a 1/2 inch dark tan head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a large swirl of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Fantastic iced coffee aroma with tones of dark chocolate and nuts.

T- Big, bold dark roast coffee flavors with a bit of sweetness to balance. Man, this is just about perfect as the coffee quality is outstanding and strong but not overpowering. Great balance all the way through and the 9% ABV is superbly hidden. Only piece of criticism is a slight metallic taste develops as multiple sips are taken.

M- Thick and creamy with medium-low carbonation and a full body.

O- One of the best non-BA coffee stouts I've ever had. Just about everything a coffee lover would want.

Canned 1/11

Pours a decent mocha colored creamy thick 1/2 finger head that has long retention, nice lacing, pitch black beer, pretty long legs.

Nose big fresh coffee, cold brewed softness without bitter tannins, big nutty and a little fruity coffee, a touch of fresh roast but no roasted or burnt bitter like notes, a little sweet chocolatey note underneath, creamy, cocoa, nutty, a touch earthy, fresh coffee ice cream and even a touch of fudge.

Taste brings more fresh coffee, again cold brewed with that rich coffee bean extraction without harsh bitter tannins, some roasted coffee flavors this time, more nutty and a touch of a fruity coffee bean, a bit earthy too that turns to a big earthy bitter roast later though, fresh coffee ice cream and a bit creamy rich, more cocoa and a hint of chocolate milk, an almost dark fruit raisin but not really, maybe some baking spices in the background too, a little nutty in general, with some bitterness. Sticky sweet finish with a little dried lactose like character, milk chocolate and coffee ice cream with coffee syrup, and a little bitter earthy roast, a dark roasted coffee.

Mouth is med bod, creamy a bit rich, nice small bubble carb almost nitro without the nitro taste, a bit chewy even, a little booze warmth late, mostly as it warms.

Overall not bad, lots of fresh coffee, the bitter earthy roast kicked in a bit on the end which was a little eh, but otherwise pretty nice beer.

This is what a coffee stout is supposed to be. Tasted from can. Huge coffee aroma with some vanilla. Flavors of cold brewed coffee, cocoa, vanilla, and caramel. Hides ABV dangerously well. Best coffee stout I've had.

16oz can, purchased at the Fort Point location.

Not sure if this stout can get any darker, great looking collection of lacing after each sip. Deep sugary, roasty, chocolatey, coffee ladened nose ... very much like a sweetened iced espresso. Semi-thick chewy body, luscious. Flavors mimic the nose, lots of sweetness yet balanced by the roasted grain and coffee. A bit of caramel and burnt currants on the palate, long lingering finish.

This is one hell of a beer, seek it out especially if you love coffee beers.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one inch head. Smell is dark, dark coffee with a small kiss of sugar and toasted malt. Medium bodied and roasty. Not a beer for those on the fence about coffee. This one smacks you with coffee intensity. Good for the style.

On draft at Trillium Canton.

Pours black with a tan head of foam and light lace retention.

Nose is roasty, lots of cold brew. Hints of dark chocolate to round it out.

Mouthfeel is good. Medium body, super creamy and smooth, sticky finish.
