Grab your sunscreen and ride the waves with our latest project with Evil Twin! We took the base recipe of our first collaboration, Trillikini, and ramped it up with a higher gravity malt bill and a massive dry hop of Citra/Amarillo/Mosaic! Board Shorts IPA is loaded with hop-driven flavors of grapefruit pith and bright stonefruit. The soft mouthfeel is complimented by fluffy oats and a dry, rustic graininess. Clean and crisp with firm, balanced bitterness. No lifeguards on duty!
MALT: American 2-row Barley, Dextrine, Flaked Oats, C-15, Dextrose
HOPS: Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic

Traded for this a while ago, as I never had it nor the Trillikini before. Yes, this is old, as it was canned on 11/7/16 with "CAN WE GET A POOL DAD?" written below it, but this was an enjoyable beer that was dank, tasty, and easy to quaff because of it's alcoholic content. If you like stonefruit, this would be one of the first brews that you should reach for!
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a cloudy goldenrod with sufficient head to top it off. Not a lot of lacing was left behind with just a few soapy sections to be seen as I worked my way through this. Massive stone fruit presence to the nose as there was a lot of mango, papaya, and herbal tea in the nose. Tons of kiwi, dank pine, earthiness, Caramel Malt, and oats came through in the taste as this was quite dank, bitter, and full at the same time. Took a while to warm up to this but as it warmed up, it's stickiness and fullness shone through as this was a nice beer that kept me warm on this cold winter's night! A light carbonation and full body rounded this out the dry-hopped nature of this beer really shone through!
Not a lot of booze here as this felt stronger than it was in actuality. For something this bold on the palate, it was quite soft and a testament to how nicely this was crafted. Just a bit of water was needed to get this down but otherwise, this was a solid brew that held up well over time. Props to Trillium for coming up with something that crept up on me without me even realizing it!

I had this one at the Trillium tap takeover at Torst in Brooklyn. This was by far the worst Trillium beer I've had. It tastes like how Semen smells. If you're into bukkake, you might like this beer. But I'm not and thought it was gross.
