Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
What if we told you we took Hundred Thousand Trillion IPA and double-i-fied it? Like whoa... we've teamed up with Other Half again for the second act of our original Hundred Thousand Trillion IPA.

Two Hundred Thousand Trillion leads with aromas of mango, peach, pineapple, lime, and hints of a delicate floral note. The palate beckons with flavors of ripe honeydew and apricot, finishing with a slight citrus & tropical fruit. Refreshing, subtle fruit flavors from aging on peaches, apricots & guava are balanced by a drying citrus tang.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15, Dextrine, Flaked Oats, Dextrose

HOPS: Galaxy, Citra, El Dorado, Nelson Sauvin

16oz can, canned on 8.4.17, poured into a Trillium Congress Street Wilibecher glass. Enjoyed on 8.8.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a super hazy and turbid orange color, golden and amber hues with a fizzy white head that has no retention and offers no lace. The aroma is nice, tropical fruits with lots of pineapple, guava and peach with some strong wildflower, grassy and dank hops while there is a lot of sweet yeast and pale grain and light pine. The flavors are fine, very dry and grassy, quite bitter with some brighter fruit forward hops as it warms up showing off some peach and mango but there is a lot of sweet grain and yeast at the finish. The mouthfeel is good, coating and creamy, very full bodied with a light amount of prickly carbonation and a soft finish.

Verdict: A good DIPA from Trillium and Other Half. The fruit adjuncts don't really offer much in this beer that the hop choices wouldn't have already provided. It's a bit drier, heavier and less balanced as a result I think. A nice beer, but not a great beer.

Very nice hazy honey color with a firm but puffy head of 1/2 finger.

Aromas of rich grapefruit, orange, vanilla, and orange cream.

Flavor has a sharp piney bitterness to start, and then a sweet wave of grapefruit, orange, orange creamsickle, vanilla, peach, *a hint* of passion fruit, mango, and a finish of pine and tropical fruit rinds.

Feel is electrifying with a nice oily resin on the finish.

Overall, a very solid IIPA that I would absolutely trade for again.

Sat in this can for a minute. It is still great, strong tropical fruit flavors, hazy/murky look, feel is smooth and silky, and the feel is balanced.

A 1 pint can, canned on 4th August 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.

Appearance: A cloudy and hazy but bright yellow orange colour, with a two finger white head that dissipated quickly and left sparse to no lacing.

Aroma: Tropical mango, peach and apricot with hints of pineapple, guava, orange zest and super lemon candy.

Taste: Juicy orange rind, mango, peach and apricot. Some guava and papaya on the finish, which is also lightly bitter.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy, medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: A great tasty collaboration brew with all the nice tasting tropical fruits that I just so enjoy. Would love to drink more.
