Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
What if we told you we took Hundred Thousand Trillion IPA and double-i-fied it? Like whoa... we've teamed up with Other Half again for the second act of our original Hundred Thousand Trillion IPA.

Two Hundred Thousand Trillion leads with aromas of mango, peach, pineapple, lime, and hints of a delicate floral note. The palate beckons with flavors of ripe honeydew and apricot, finishing with a slight citrus & tropical fruit. Refreshing, subtle fruit flavors from aging on peaches, apricots & guava are balanced by a drying citrus tang.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15, Dextrine, Flaked Oats, Dextrose

HOPS: Galaxy, Citra, El Dorado, Nelson Sauvin

L - very loud and fizzy. There should be a "sound" category because this shit is pop rocks. Color is a murky, radioactive haze. Brooding orange with lemon fringes. Minimal head that quickly fizzles away. But then again, Trillium isn't known for their head retention.

S - powerfully zesty and spicy. Lime rind, grapefruit peel, the works. A little bit of peach sweetness shines through, before crackery dank sets back in, intertwined with grassy pineapple.

T - peppery lemon lime. Lots of spicy, candied tropical flavors. Everything feels heavy and dripping. Melon, guava, papaya, apricot. Tangy bitterness rounds it out.

F - the most disappointing part about this beer. Trillium mouthfeel was so much better out of the bottles. In cans, it feels manufactured and amateurish. It's not an over-carbed gusher, but the slightest shift of liquid once in the mouth and foam city. Then it's gone like it just dies, taking the flavor with it. Meh.

O - great blending of Trillium candied fruit and OH crisp freshness. The spicy, peppery hops and tropical fruit are present, but the acidity is there in flavor only, not a burning feel that melts the tongue. The flavors end clean and subtle. Just gotta fix that mouthfeel, and you've got a really nice brew.

Pours hazy, light yellow/orange in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is big guava, mango, honeydew, and dank hops. Soft, sweet, and medium heavy bodied. Excellent by IPA standards, but a bit of a letdown bases off of Trillium's excellence. Would get this again, but this is middle of the pack based off of Trillium's high standards.

On tap at the Canton location

Look: Hazy pale blonde with a thin white head.

Smell: Mild mango, peach, guava, lightly grassy, and muted citrus.

Taste: Bright green mango, muted peach, dried apricot, guava, grapefruit zest, and a lightly bitter grassy finish. All hops.

Feel: Soft carbonation. Smooth and creamy body. Light bitterness. Rich fruity hop flavor. Slight alcohol.

Overall: One tasty collaboration. The fruit is tasty and complex yet it resists being over blown. I really enjoy the ripe melon flavor. If I had on criticism it would be that everything feels a bit muted but it's better then the alternative. Tasty stuff.

Drank on draft at brewery; noticeable citrus, almost citric, taste that lingers at the backend

Pours golden yellow with a nice white head. Very light lacing. Aroma of peach and apricot. Taste follows the nose but extremely tart in the middle. Nice collaboration just way too tart for me.
