Style: Gose

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
For our first ever collaboration with Stillwater Artisanal Ales, we've crafted a New England style gose using sea salt from Stonington, Connecticut.

Trillwater pours a warm golden hue with an off-white head. Sweet white wine and a touch of honey on the nose are followed by first flavors of grape jam. As Trillwater swirls on the palate more complex flavors of lemongrass hop character, grape skins, and a subtle salinity reminiscent of oyster brine or brackish water reveal themselves. A dry finish, gentle tart flavors, and medium body round out Trillwater.

MALT: Pilsner, Valley Wheat Malt, Flaked Wheat

HOPS: Sterling, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka

Solid solid Gose. Second best Gose by a slim margin over Westbrook’s Gose.

Pours hazy, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is big sour lemon, mineral, dry white wine and a decent amount of salt. Light bodied, high carbonation, sour and slightly salty. Makes for a really good example of the style. I prefer the German classics, but the salt is perfect and the big juicy lemons are awesome. Worth seeking out.

Had this at the Canton brewery. The beer was very lightly, clear in its appearance with a generally golden yellow look. Aromas were a pretty strong metallic, floral lemon citrus smell. The beer was generally fruity, like lemon and grapefruit flavors, making the beer enjoyably sour. Bodywise, this was a very crisp and carbonated beer. Overall, really nice appearance and aromas.

Poured from a 750mL into a tulip glass. Acquired at the brewery on release day.

Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a two finger white head that leaves spotty lacing and a ring of retention.

Aromas are very saison-like, lemon and earthiness, hay and light yeast. On the tongue it's crisp and easy with delicately tart lemongrass, mineral, lime, light yeasty finish. Really nice mouthfeel, crisp and easy to drink, effervescent and light body with medium high carbonation.

A real winner, glad I got a few bottles.
