Alcohol by volume (ABV): 10.30%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
Last year for our 4th Anniversary, we wanted to brew something extra special and deeply rooted in Trillium's history. Congress Street was the very first IPA we brewed in 2013. Its success inspired an entire series of beers, all named after streets in Fort Point surrounding our first brewery. Each of these beers uses the same base recipe featuring a different dry hop presenting a unique flavor with common ties. Building off of the Streets series, we decided to brew a beer that was a little bit of each. Using the same base recipe as all our Street beers, we dry hopped with Amarillo, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, Simcoe, Nelson, Vic Secret, & Enigma. This year's recipe of The Streets Triple IPA is a celebratory culmination of all the Streets beers we've brewed over the past 5 years, and our continued exploration of fermentation profiles.

Fruity esters produced by this year's fermentation profile shine through in the aroma and flavor. Hazy and orange in appearance with a strong nose of strawberry, tropical fruit, lime, pineapple and melon rind. A palate of pineapple, over ripe fruit, subtle grapefruit pith, and a subtle sweetness is complemented by a balancing bitterness. A full, creamy mouthfeel rounds out this surprisingly drinkable Triple IPA.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15, Dextrine, Dextrose

HOPS: Amarillo, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, Simcoe, Nelson, Vic Secret, Enigma

Another huge thanks goes out to Jay for this. Cheers!

The Streets, as expected, pours like paint from the can. A cardboard yellow body is capped by peaked egg whites that have been tanned slightly. The foam as it settles has a shimmer to it, like a bubble bath. The left overs leave only spots, but a shake froth remains at the surface.

Very citrus forward with tropical fruits playing support. An unusual twist par for the style. Grapefruit, rind, and pine cover up a little mango preserves dabbed over some vanilla ice cream.

The flavor is much more juice saturated than the aroma would suggest, though their is an element of full pulp orange juice. It reminds me of those clear plastic containers filled with peeled peaches and mango you'd get as a kid in your lunch box, but clementines and wet pine needles were thrown in. One thing I didn't get in my He-Man tin pail was some alcohol, and there's quite a bit noticeable in this one.

No question that The Streets is full bodied. Creamy even sticky, but a dose of carbonation fights to make itself noticed, mostly by bringing it's good friend bitterness along for the ride. I must say the most noticeable traits here are the welcomed bitterness, and the hot alcohol burn.

I vaguely remember The Streets from last year, but I do remember it was good. This is too. Definitely a one a done, meaning I wouldn't drink two in a row, but I'd welcome this again. Until next year (hopefully)! Cheers.

Canned On 05/03/18, 11:10:52.

Pours a beautiful mango hued orange, slightly viscous with a frothy two inch head of foam that quickly bubbles away and leaves heavy lace around the glass.

Strong tropical aromas, candy sweet. Mango juice, guava nectar, tangerine, and pineapple all play around your nose... no bitter indicators, no booziness.. pure juice.

Incredible. More of that candy sweetness. Straight mango juice, with complimentary pineapple and orange. Some lingering bitterness, and hardly any present booze. Absolutely can’t believe this is 10.3%.

Medium body, good level of carbonation. No residual stickiness, just pure creamy juice that goes down with a nice warmth.. the only indicator of the high ABV on this beer.
