Double Seesaw: Boysenberry, Blackberry, Raspberry & CranberryDouble Seesaw: Boysenberry, Blackberry, Raspberry & Cranberry
Notes: The Seesaw Series is our gose playground. Designed to capture delight and fun in the form of an easy-drinking and flavorful beer. Each Seesaw has a unique fruit addition to pair with balanced tartness, a touch of salinity, and ABV on the lower side. The nostalgic thrill of warm-weather fun, reimagined in one of our favorite styles. The number of Seesaws dictates once, twice, or three times the fruit added.

This Double Seesaw variant is generously fruited with boysenberries, blackberries, raspberries and cranberries and pours an eye catching deep violet color with light haze. An abundance of bright, farmstand berry aromas swirl from the glass and entice the palate. Flavors of jammy blackberry and cranberry preserves wash over the palate in waves while macerated raspberries and blackberries provide a delicate tartness. Medium-bodied, this Double Seesaw has a low level of acidity with a balancing and refreshing level of brackish salinity.

16 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 pink head over a purple body. Not my Gose! Nose of all the berries. Taste of all the berries. Gose feel. Overall, I think this should be listed as a Fruit & Field beer. Cheers?

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
Served in a tulip

The opaque, blackberry hued body was topped by a fizzy, finger-tall, fuchsia colored crown that quickly dissolved. No lacing whatsoever.

The aroma was fantastic. Huge berry presence. Ripe blackberry/boysenberry notes dominated. Really rich, jammy and sweet. Touch of raspberry too. So simple yet so amazing.

Berry notes also came through strong in the flavor profile but not to the extent they did in the nose. Blackberry/boysenberry was most apparent. Fairly jammy and sweet on the front end. The tartness increased as the beer moved along the palate. Crisp and moderately sour in the center. Raspberry notes appeared on the back end. Cranberry came through in the finish. Some lemon-like acidity and the slightest hint of salinity lingered after the swallow.

Lighter bodied mouthfeel. Really supple and smooth. The liquid contained a larger bubbled, fairly spritzy effervescence that fluffed up nicely.

Trillium has recently entered the fruited Gose game, and this Double Seesaw variant is another winner from the series. I would love to revisit this when the warmer weather arrives.

Pours a lovely maroon. A bit of pink head that dissipates quickly.

It doesn't have a strong aroma hints of sweet fruits and cranberries.

It lands light on the pallet lightly sweet and refreshing. Tart fruit flavors bounce around the tongue with light carbonation pushing them along. You can definitely taste the cranberry and raspberries. Almost like an airy fruit tart. Bright tart notes linger in the mouth that give way to that slight classic sour bite.

I'm not the biggest sour person, but that was nice and refreshing.

Pours a beautiful violet purple red color with a dissipating pink foam head. Smells of tart berries, jammy raspberry, blackberries, boysenberry, and cranberry notes with some salinity and crackery wheat. Tastes like fresh tart jammy berries, raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, cranberries, with salt and wheat. Medium-full bodied, thick, creamy, fruit smoothie-like. Overall a really great berry fruited gose.
