Notes: Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew. We name these beers in sequence - their numbering first indicates the year in the Trillium lifespan that the beer was released, followed by a recipe indicator. Brewed at our Fort Point location, Permutation 6.07 is our take on a Corn Lager. Using corn locally grown at Four Star Farms and processed at Plimoth Grist Mill, this lager is deeply rooted in the agricultural heritage and bounty of New England. Pouring a pale yellow straw color with a fluffy white head and the slightest level of haze, Permutation 6.07 has a clean lagering fermentation profile offering pleasant aromas of freshly baked cornbread muffins with gentle highlights of bright lemon peel and dried wildflowers that extended right through to the palate. Light bodied and endlessly drinkable with a delicate sweetness, touch of minerality and smooth finish, Permutation 6.07 is the type of sessionable and easy drinking lager that welcomes warmer weather and perfectly accompanies longer days spent with friends.

Doing my best to rate this baby by style. Scooped up a 32oz growler and consumed within a couple days. This beer screams warm weather drinking and I will oblige as long as I can.

Golden body with a level of clarity that belies the description of "slight haze.". To all the label designers and marketing folks - use some other adjectives besides "haze" please.

Soft foamy head that lingers and collects the stream of bubbles rising up the glass.

Aroma and taste of cereal, malt, dough with a light floral kick. A touch lemony. Clean, crisp, easy drinking with a refreshing snap after every sip.

If AAL tasted this good all those years ago I wonder if the craft movement would have been delayed? Who knows. What I'm saying is - this is a good beer.
