Cutting Tiles - Nelson SauvinCutting Tiles - Nelson Sauvin
Notes: Cutting Tiles is an exploratory series of Double IPA's featuring a range of aromatic single hop varietals brewed with raw wildflower honey. This new version is dosed with 100% Nelson Sauvin in all kettle, whirlpool and two massive dry hop additions. The local wildflower honey keeps the body light and drinkable while providing a floral, earthy backbone.

Pouring a hazy golden straw, Nelson Sauvin Cutting Tiles is intensely aromatic, teeming with sweet tones of tropical fruit, bright citrus, and vanilla. Bold flavors of pulpy grapefruit, lemon-lime zest, and ripe kiwi take the lead on the palate as notes of honeydew melon and table grapes develop and add depth. Medium bodied with a pillowy soft mouthfeel, Nelson Sauvin Cutting Tiles has a gentle, restrained pithy bite.

On tap at canton

Nose is honey dew and white grape. Taste starts with spicy floral hop then transitions into white grape and rounds out into creamy honeydew. It finishes with pithy citrus. the long is left with biscuity sweetness. overall a great mix of pale green fruits.

Can. A few years ago this would have set me off. My favorite hop in a big double IPA from Trillium. Now it just is not the same. Maybe the beer has gotten worse, maybe my tastes for the style or the brewery have changed drastically. Maybe it is both. This looks the part but it lacks whatever I used to love about these beers. Maybe it’s a “me” problem. Who knows, who cares?
