3 month old bottle poured into a tulip.

Ruby red grapefruit juice coloring (pinkish-orange) with a soft, light-medium haze and a thin film of bright white bubbles that provide little spots of lacing. Looks very much like a sparkling wine cocktail. Quite attractive.

Equal parts funky and fruity on the nose, with huge doses of fruit and grass. Strong bursts of grapefruit and lime on the citrus side, pear and plum from the stone fruit family, plus some green grapes and hibiscus, with a sharp, zesty funk running throughout. Quite acidic, earthy, and floral, all simultaneously. Semi-sweet, a little peppery, with lively sourness. Really outstanding.

Flavor profile is exactly in line with the aromas, with so much nuance and layering each sip is really a new experience. Acidity is strong on the tongue, but the perfect level of fruit sweetness keeps things in check. Very floral, tart, and effervescent. A little bit of salinity to go with underripe citrus at the end of the sip. Absolutely yummy and quite refreshing.

Easily the best wild ale I’ve had in recent memory. Truly different, memorable, and delicious.

Poured from a 330 mL bottle (bottle date was in April 2019, even though the beer was released just last week [July], which was a little interesting... anyway, back to the review). Cloudy pink/tan appearance, like a glass of pink grapefruit juice. Fluffy white head and lacing that clung to the side of the glass. Funk and sour grapes on the nose. Flavors of sour plums, stone fruit, and oak. Light, acidic finish. Pretty decent - didn’t blow me away, but a sold and refreshing beer for a hot day.
