Notes:
This new rendition of our signature porter, brewed with oats, was infused with our Trillium Blend Cold Brew coffee and then conditioned with a dose of luxurious Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Pouring a dark umber brown color with a dense, sepia brown head, Coffee & Vanilla Pot & Kettle lifts enticing aromas of vanilla lattés, luscious chocolate fudge, and rich dark malts. Bold and roasty; the palate unfolds with layers of espresso and vanilla gelato affogatos, toasted nuts and cacao nibs. Easy drinking with an oatmeal-based creaminess accentuated by a velvety and smooth carbonation, Coffee & Vanilla Pot & Kettle has a clean and balanced finish.

L - pours a dark walnut brown with crimson tan head. Big bubbles and big cherry cola dissipation.
S - smells like the inside of a Dunkin Donuts. Er, sorry, that's just "Dunkin'" now. Oops. Regular Coffee and pastries galore. Chocolate donuts, cinnamon frosting, and biscotti cookies. Hazelnut syrup.
T - cream and sugar give it a smoother, richer flavor, helped in part by the oats and accompanied by nuts, dark fruits, and balanced dryness. This beer also has bite in the form of black coffee, roasty caramel, and raw vanilla.
F - deceptively light for this ABV. Not terribly heavy, but the oats will lie to you and convince you this is a big, bold, motor oil beer. In reality, we've got something like hefty drinkability.
O - I've always thought Pot & Kettle was whatever, but this is actually damn impressive. Reminds me a bit of Trillium's bigger, badder beers, namely Biscotti and Coffee. The oats are well represented here and tastefully utilized to add tremendous balance.

Appearance: A bit of a bubble show produces a one finger head perched atop the fudge colored liquid with mahogany highlights; spotty lacing
Smell: Chocolate fudge, with coffee and vanilla tones
Taste: Rich chocolate fudge forward, with the vanilla emerging; in the mid-palate, the coffee arrives cutting into the sweeter elements; the finish is balanced
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation; creamy
Overall: A bit on the sweet side but a nice coffee porter

On tap at the brewery in Boston. Goes down super easy, basically stout with coffee and vanilla just like the name says. Too easy to drink for the ABV!

Poured from a 16 oz can into a stemmed harmony glass.
Pours a deep, dark brown color with 2 fingers of sudsy caramel head. The head is gone in a hurry, leaving a few random spots of lacing before settling into a thin ring.
The aroma is extremely coffee-forward, with some lighter notes of roasted malts, caramel, and vanilla.
The flavor brings out lots of roasted malts, coffee, and vanilla with a modestly hoppy finish.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth with a dry finish.
Overall, a very good porter that comes exactly as advertised. Tons of coffee and vanilla flavor with plenty of malt and hop balance.
