Notes: We can all admit that it feels better to gift than to accept, especially when you're on the receiving end of a 12-Month Jelly Sampler, Tuxedo T-Shirt, or Big Mouth Billy Bass. In the spirit of giving (and returning) we've brewed a Triple IPA to help you act like you've been wishing for a Shake-Weight for years.

Gift Receipt presents a glowing light orange with a heavy, enticing haze. A mouth-watering blend of tropical, citrus, and stone fruit aromas are immediately present. Mango candy, pineapple juice, orange peel, and juicy apricot entice each sip. On the palate, the bright fruit notes are accompanied by a vanilla frosting-like creaminess. Full-bodied and deceptively drinkable, we're ready to reign in the New Year with Gift Receipt.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
Canned on 12/30/19
Served in a tulip

Cloudy, bright yellow ochre appearance. The body was topped by a thin, frothy, off-white crown that fell to a thick, lasting collar. A few small steaks and tiny drips of lacing trickled down the sides of the glass.

The nose was really fruity and sweet. Stone fruits dominated. Canned peaches came to mind. Some apricot and nectarine as well. Bit of fusel-like alcohol. Ripe mango was also noticeable. Touch of citrus too. Juicy orange and tangerine perhaps. Hint of pineapple. The booze intensified as the beer warmed.

The flavor profile was also really fruity and sweet. Big, rich malty presence on the front end. Mango came through strong. Lots of peach and apricot too. Pineapple was noticeable in the center. Orange and tangerine appeared on the back end. Bit of pithy tangerine peel and booze on the finish. A melding of fruity sweetness and resiny bitterness lingered after the swallow.

Really solid, fuller bodied mouthfeel. Creamy, slick and smooth on the palate. The liquid contained a finer bubbled, greater-than-average effervescence that fluffed up nicely on the palate.

I can usually appreciate hoppy beers on the sweeter end of the spectrum, but this TIPA was even too sweet for me. While the flavors and aromas were great, I wish they dialed back the malts.

Pours cloudy hazy opaque gold with a dense creamy white foam head. Intense sweet tropical citrus and stone fruit aromas of mango candy, pineapple juice, orange peel, ripe peach and juicy apricots, with some smoothie-like malt creaminess. Immense flavors burst on the palate with sweet tropical citrusy stone fruits and a creamy vanilla frosting-like malt character. Feels full bodied, weighty with smooth moderate low carbonation. Overall a real nice Triple NE IPA.
