Notes: Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our production crew. The names are sequential, reflecting the brewing year in Trillium's lifespan, followed by a recipe indicator.

Sharing the same grist bill and hop varietals as Vicinity, Permutation 7.02 is a great example of how, similar to cooking, treatment of ingredients and slight refinements in process can have significant flavor impact. Displaying a beautiful peach skin color with a warm haze, the aroma is an explosion of tropical fruit. Juicy pineapple, ripe mango, and papaya are backed by a fresh citrus zest character. A gentle sweetness is wrapped up with a touch of piney bitterness at the back of the palate. If you're a fan of Vicinity, we encourage you to explore Permutation 7.02, teasing out the differences that small tweaks on the brew deck or in the cellar can have on the liquid in your glass.

Dirty, dark yellow color, solidly opaque with cloudiness; thin yet lasting soapy head. Incredibly sweet and fruity aroma; freshly cut orange and mango. Strong alcohol taste blended with mild phenols and bitterness; anarchic blend of citrus flavors and yellow pitted fruits; orange and apricot. Heavy body; burning and biting; acidic and creamy.

An interesting and fairly intense beer that was packaged 04/25/20. It lacks subtlety and nuance primarily in the taste department, and seems a bit hot throughout, even for a 7.8% ABV. But, hey, it is a DNEIPA...

Pours hazy yellow slightly orange, thin if any disappearing head,
nose is pineapple, mango tropical with hints of sweetness
taste follows nose, its on the sweet side, maybe tangerine of blood orange
mouth feel is on the thin side, low carbonation, not really much of a bite,
overall I thought it was pretty good, kind of Vicinity with a smoother finish. Extremely easy drinking.

Peach tea haze in a glass, literally. The head dissipates quickly, and leaves little to no lacing on the glass. Intense aromas of Dole pineapple juice, mixed with mango, OJ, and wisps of cherry starburst. The taste mimics a tropical fruit smoothie with some earthy, borderline vegetal notes on the back end. Soft carbonation, no lingering bitterness, but the mouthfeel isn't as chewy as I would prefer for a 7.8% NEIPA.
