Notes: Freaky Friday is a concept created by our friends at Other Half and The Veil because, "The world is weird right now, so we thought we'd roll with it." While in-person collaborations are not an option at this time, joining the party on recipe swapping is a creative alternative.

For our first edition Freaky Friday, we sent our Twice the Daily Serving: Blackberry & Pomegranate recipe to The Veil and received Nevergonnagetit3 in return! Heavily fruited with Raspberry, Boysenberry, and Blackberry, this viscous Gose pours a beautiful deep magenta color. A fruit explosion on the nose, we pick up notes of mixed berry pie, blackberry preserves, and juicy peak-harvest raspberry. Boasting an incredibly velvety mouthfeel, with just a touch of salinity from the sea salt addition, Nevergonnagetit3 washes off the palate with balanced acidity.

Drank from a 16 fl. oz. 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA

Served in a tulip

Spectacular appearance. The nearly opaque, oxblood hued body was topped by a billowing, super tight and frothy, light magenta crown that slowly fell to a thick film. A wall of chunky, patchy lacing coated the entire glass and stuck around until the beer was finished.

Outstanding aroma. Berry notes dominated. Boysenberry came to mind first. Boysenberry ice cream perhaps. Somewhat sweet with some lactose-like creaminess and a hint of vanilla. Blackberry followed. There was nice bright tartness from the raspberry. Pretty straightforward overall but so amazingly enjoyable.

The flavor profile was just as impressive as the nose. Again, berries dominated. Big, sweet, juicy blackberry and boysenberry for sure. Raspberry was also noticeable. Rich and jammy with a moderate amount of tartness. Some berry seed-like notes appeared on the back end. Hint of bitterness. Lemon peel was noticeable in the finish, along with a touch of salinity.

Terrific rich, creamy, slick mouthfeel. Fuller bodied for the style. Almost smoothie like. The liquid contained a super fine, moderate effervescent that frothed up nicely on the palate.

Trillium have released some amazing fruited goses in their Daily Serving series, but Nevergonnagetit3 might very well be their best beer in this style to date. The Veil were definitely one of the pioneers of this particular style, and this recipe is proof that they are true masters of the game.

Salty sweet, triple berry, and hint of floral-vanilla nose on this one! Taste follows with a tart and slightly salty, triple berry finish! The saltiness lingers a bit. This has great depth and soft mouthfeel to it. This is outstanding!

L -- This looks amazing in the glass. Completely opaque beet red body with three fingers of dense pink head produced with gentle pour. Amazing retention and pulpy lacing. Looks like this might have been fermenting in the can just a bit -- it's very robustly carbonated. Looks absolutely delicious
S -- Raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry, red currant, lemon candy, lime zest, strawberry jam, ripe peach
T -- Adult soda. Fruit leather, rhubarb pie, beet juice, jam of every kind, modest sweetness
F -- Thick and pulpy. Big mouthfeel, medium+ carb
O -- Once again, these types of beers are hard to rate because of how non-beer they are. At what point is it better to just mix fruit juice, seltzer water, and liquor?
