Very Good
Notes: Atlantic Ave is our Galaxy-saturated entry to the Avenue series. Presenting a honey yellow color with a silky, inviting haze, the aroma is abundant with ripe tropical fruit. Papaya sorbet, passion fruit, mango gummies, and creamy pineapple jump from the glass. Utilizing a healthy wheat percentage in the grist bill, the mouthfeel is soft and plush, supporting the tropical onslaught in a smoothie-like manner. Finishing a touch sweet, with enough piney bitterness to balance it all out, Atlantic Ave is a standout addition to our portfolio.

16 oz. can dated 09/09/20

Pours a cloudy opaque golden yellow-orange color with a dense creamy frothy white foam head with decent retention. Smells like tropical papaya, passionfruit, mango gummies, pineapple, peach, orange citrus rind, grapefruit, mild caramelized biscuity malt, and earthy dank floral resinous herbal grassy pine. Tastes like tropical papaya sorbet, passionfruit, mango, pineapple, peach, orange citrus rind, grapefruit, some biscuity toasty caramelized malts, and dank floral earthy herbal grassy resinous pine. Feels medium plus bodied, creamy smooth with moderate low carbonation. Overall a really nice DIPA with Galaxy hops.

This was given to me by a friend as part of a trade this week, as he was able to get up to Canton recently. While not being a completely standout beer, this was indeed soft and plush as it went down quite easily once it fully warmed up. I'm not sure that I ever fully got accustomed to the combination of Galaxy and wheat but it was interesting to savor as it could certainly be appealing for fans of this brewery!

Not surprisingly, this a muted honey as it was a cross between a wheat beer and something that Trillium would be better known for. A long-lasting head topped this off but the lacing left behind was very sparse with a double hint of a ring about a third of the way down the side of my pint glass, with a few scattered spots below that. Lots of all-too-ripe tropical fruit, dank hops, and wheat in the nose as the taste had melon, cantaloupe, grape, and grapefruit that gave this a very sharp impression on the palate. The sweetness was here but it was overpowered by everything else going on as the softness of this beer turned out to be it's saving grace. Up until the end, the bitterness never let up as that melded with pine and an outdoorsy heft in the aftertaste once I finished this off, with a few dark bits of sediment being stirred up from the bottom of the liquid.

Full in body, and light in carbonation, this was an Imperial IPA that equally felt like an Imperial Wheat Ale with a ton of Galaxy thrown in for good measure. A hint of exotic fruit lingered once everything else went down as the booze was quite strong and noticeable at the same time. Canned on 9/9, this was not Trillium's best but only because I wasn't sure that this knew what it wanted to be. Worth a go once because hey - it's Trillium and even their lesser offerings such as this are still worth seeking out and enjoying, even if it's only once.

From a 16oz can dated 9/9/20 into a pint glass.

Pours an opaque pale brownish yellow with about two fingers of white head. Excellent lacing and amazing head retention.

Smells strongly of oranges, tangerines and mandarins. Also a bunch of bitter hop aroma.

Taste follows the nose but with a lot more bitterness. Juicy flavors give way to strong bitterness. Trillium at their best!

Mouthfeel is medium soft with a strong bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation. 8.2% abv is hidden well.

Overall, this is a winner. It's what Trillium does best-juicy with strong bitterness. Wish I had gotten more...

Can from Tfontana, thanks for the hookup!
Hazy lemon orange color with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly recedes. Mango and melon with bits of sweet bread and light pine. Moderate chunk.
