Headroom is about pushing boundaries. From its first batch brewed on Congress St. in 2015 to today, this singular Double IPA stands as a landmark, watershed beer in terms of our evolution as a brewery. Conceptually, we sought to create our boldest, most daring, hoppiest beer we could possibly dream up. Our ability to conceive and brew new Double Dry Hopped Double and Triple IPAs is born out of our foundational experience brewing Headroom.
Five years later, we've taken Headroom's base recipe and ridiculous dry hop charge but applied a new hop combination in Citra and Mosaic. Thus, Legroom was born. True to our never satisfied nature, we've now matched our hoppiest beer ever (Max Headroom), by pushing Legroom's dry-hopping rates to 11 pounds per barrel.
Out of the can, Max Legroom pours a viscous, pale, pineapple-colored yellow, coating the glass as the beer is swirled. Extended cold conditioning allows for unparalleled aroma development, offering an explosively dank and hop-saturated character. We enjoy notes of pineapple gummies, mango/papaya smoothie, and fresh-squeezed citrus with a gentle buzz of vibrant pine to assist with balancing the tropical onslaught. Finishing plush and creamy, Max Legroom joins the pinnacle of our hoppy offerings, meant to enjoy in celebration and shared with those special in your lives.

Thick orange. Very to no little head.
Smells tropical. Pineapple, mango.
Taste stats there but turns to grapefruit pith and other rind pith.
Nice fruity front end with bitter back. This is really good if you like a NE ipa with a west coast flair. If you want a juice bomb this isn’t it.
Not too dense on the body. Drinkable.
Dangerous for 9.1.

3 weeks old. Can to tumbler.
Look: Pours a light yellow. Hazy and full. Thin foam that disappeared in the blink of an eye. Almost no sediment.
Smell: Citrus paired with fresh tropical fruits.
Taste: Citrus and pineapple. Subtle fruity sweetness with a zesty punch and a bitter/dry finish.
Feel: Juicy mouthfeel. Slightly creamy. Sharp hopburn backed by a low to medium carbonation.
Overall: Very good New England IPA with dominant citrus characteristics and hints of tropical fruits (particularly pineapple). Fuller and a bit creamier than its little brother (Legroom) with just as much hopburn and bitterness. Would prefer this one over Legroom even though they are fairly close to each other.

Pineapple color, really hazy, an oatmeal colored head that is sudsy and departs the premises quickly. There are massive amounts of citrus aromas hurling themselves from the can, with oranges, pineapple, and mango most prominent.
The taste is crushingly citrus, with some of that lychee flavor I enjoy so much accompanying the oranges, pineapple, and mango,
For hop juice bomb holy grail hunters, this is your Mecca. Phenomenal world class beer, IMHO.

16 oz can from Evan, into Pipeworks crazy logo glass.
Canned on 12/15/20, superfreshhh!
Looks like an IPA slushie, just wonderful juicy foggy goodness with tons of slushy bubbles on top where the head was a minute ago.
Aroma - well, lots of guys have been doing New England IPA for awhile now, it's become pretty much nationwide. And some do it well, some do it terrible, but there is only one area that stays absolutely true to it. And it's like the damn reinheitsgebot to me. This aroma is so purely clean, with so much lovely diesel and massive drunken fruit, it should be a crime. Mango, pineapple, diesel, lychee, papaya, and grapefruit. And it's not suggestions, they are there in full blast.
Flavor is likewise just super incredible explosive. Drunk pineapple meets drunk mango, with slices of grapefruit and papaya. The diesel is here too but it's pleasantly restrained while still maintaining a presence.
Feel is juicy AF. And lots of alcohol heat but expected at 9.1%. Resins coat the tongue. Mild carbonation. Again, like a smoothie.
Overall, another beer that has star-struck me. Great stuff, definitely stands out in a world of imitators.
