With the New England summer fast approaching we release Tiny Chicken, another edition in our Small Bird Series of lower ABV, hazy pale ales. Deceivingly diminutive in name, Tiny Chicken packs a hoppy punch with a powerful combination of Galaxy and Amarillo. Engaging aromatics pop with notes of bright citrus and peach, while flavors of tropical fruit, melon, and orange sweep over the palate in refreshing waves. Finishing crisp and dry with slight earthy/spicy grain character from the use of locally malted wheat and Danko rye.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, Valley Rye, Valley Wheat, Flaked Oats, C-15, Dextrine
HOPS: Galaxy, Amarillo, Columbus

Poured from a pint glass into a tulip. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells of fruit, especially citrus and slight grassiness. Tastes of grassy hops with some citrus notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Fairly hazy looking body, light yellow in color; nice head, white and sudsy. Pleasant tropical fruit aroma; pineapple and banana, a bit of lemon. The taste comes across a bit light yet with some nice citrus flavors; white grapefruit and lemon mostly; touch of rounded oat grain flavor in the background; a little tart; pretty mild bitterness overall, lighter at the beginning and builds to medium-light intensity near the finish. Medium-heavy body; respectable acidity noted, not overbearing; some alcohol dryness offset with some citrus tanginess.
This is a decent hazy American pale ale. It doesn't reach the intensity of a lot of Trillium's India pale ale endeavors. Not seeing any date stamping on the can or label prevents figuring out its relative freshness, but it's enjoyable enough as is.

The look is pear juice hazy yellowish brown. There was a four-finger foam top that disappeared quickly. The smell has light scents of peach, pear, and banana. The flavor is tropical, with noticeable flavors of orange, honeydew, and peach. There is a slight bitterness. A touch of spiciness. The mouthfeel is like fruit juice that is dry and smooth. The carbonation is medium. Overall, this does not have the extreme fruit scents and flavors of higher ABV beers of similar styles, but it is still delicious. It is an easy-drinking beer, that is ideal to drink outside on a beautiful day.

On tap in Canton. Another stellar and easy drinking APA. Delicious. Easy to crush a few but also pairs well with food. Their food menu is great, limited yet all quality.

Very nice pale ale from the great Trillium brewery. Canned date 8/20/19 so this was quite fresh. Pours a nice slightly hazy yellow-orange color with a nice cap of white fluffy foamy head and some smaller rings of lingering lacing. Great appearance. Smells of some nice grapefruit, pineapple, mango, papaya, tangerine, guava and lemon. Also some malt, creamy vanilla, bread and hints of floral and piney hops at the end. Taste follows the nose, great balance between the sweeter malt backbone and slightly bitter hops. Luscious, creamy, slightly sticky and coats the palate. Some nice smoothness but could have been a little more juicy. Good carbonation. An excellent pale ale and I will keep exploring Trillium's many offerings.
