Picked up a 32oz growler at the brewery. Poured the beer into a shaker pint, and it pours a hazy, yellow-orange coloring, pale, with a filmy, clingy, white surface coat of head. Nose of melon, lemon grass, pine tassel, and citrus backbone. Flavors are fruit forward, with a melon and citrus blend, all on a solid biscuit backbone. Very well balanced, helping to provide a high drinkability. Some of the pine and bitter notes build at the end of the palate, leading into a citrusy, bitter, grassy aftertaste. Smooth and light bodied, but crisp at the end. Clean, dry finish, with a subtle pepper and pine linger in the sinuses. Solid beer, and easy to drink. Citrus and melon tones make this a great warm weather brew.

Good bar pour head that lasts a long time. Interestingly, nearly no lace. Cloudy, yellow gold color.

Floral, pine aroma of fresh hop.

Bitter, but not as pronounced as their flagship, Fort Point. I think that makes this a less extreme beer. Don't misinterpret, this is still a hop head beer--very bitter. The finish has an earthy background. Long lasting aftertaste of white pepper. Rich body with lower level of carbonation.
